Our MRI has real people giving directions. It's nice to know they're monitoring the customer. When I had mine, the techs checked in a couple times and asked if I was okay. They also told me when it was almost done. It was very good. I can't imagine what a recorded voice would be like that. It's fine in the CT when you know for sure there's someone watching and monitoring.

With the other one I did know that they would listen in and I could call out if needed. The feedback was just very minimal and also I found the timing for the breathing was much worse, whereas the tech was better (maybe he could see live, I'm not sure). He also didn't get me to do this stupid thing of holding my breath halfway - hated that, all in or all out is easier than partway.
Brain MRI was better than either and I actually had music for my last one (plus they checked in as well). It was also faster.

Can we call on volunteers to read the future out of tea leaves and coffee ground afterwards? @BetteTheRed ?( my hunch is that you have some skills in that area, or @Inannawhimsey ?

My rates are as listed on my shingle which should still be stored safely away in Area 51.

Now to get to my unicorn home schooling

Now Dawkins, settle down!

I'm assuming that warm beverages are verboten in MRI tubes. (cold ones, too, I bet).

Anyway, at the end of the procedure the beverage cart awaits.

We should drink to that ... its biblical ... right in the narrative about common charon! To brute powers blooming nonsense ...

Had my MRI today. Was a bit annoyed they made me take off my mask and use theirs -
Glad you have your MRI over with. & it seemed to go well. The issue of mask may be related to concern for any presence of potentially magnetic metal in your mask - which could have dire consequences - better safe than sorry I imagine.

Stinky hot & humid here this morning! I did a bit of yard work early & now I'm cooling off a bit before jumping into the shower. Then I'm going to listen to Birthstone preach, and after that tune into Hillhurst United - Jann Arden is their interview guest today! She's always interesting. Will probably sew some masks this afternoon - have an order to do.

We're expecting hotter than normal temps today. I'm not concerned after growing up in southern Ontario. We also have air conditioning if needed. It has been nice to have such lovely sunny weather this week after all the rain we've been getting.

I changed out our headboard fabric yesterday. The fabric that came with the unit is beige with gold speckles. I've been wanting to so something about it for almost two years. I worked up a sweat tucking the fabric in between the original fabric and the wood. I'm happy with the results.

No it was hospital policy, asked at the entrance before they even asked where I was I going. I've heard of complaints in immunodeficiency groups, some have always worn masks in hospitals to protect them so they aren't happy about wearing masks with less protection plus having to take off a mask in an area where others aren't wearing masks. Since I've been to the same hospital - although a different building - a few weeks ago I didn't think they were using that policy.

Now I need to wait to hear from the hepatologist. I don't recall a specialists office every operating like this before - waiting for the results before getting an appointment unless it was an urgent type of thing. Considering the little notice I had before (although that was getting in fairly quickly), I wonder how much I will get this time. If it always operates with little notice, not a fan. It shows a lack of respect for my time IMO plus with having phototherapy 2x a week and other appointments booked there's a good chance of being double booked.

It wrecked at least four decent tracks during the first hour or so of "In Concert", including a favourite by Louise Farrenc.

I wasn't listening to the radio and my phone was downstairs in a drawer. In fact, I had my home network torn down so I wasn't even on the Internet. I was under a desk moving equipment around and remembering why I have staff do this stuff at work. At least I didn't whack my head this time. Usually when I'm under that desk, I smash into the keyboard tray (a heavy wooden one with steel rails) at least once.

Ouch. I tend to do stuff like that, as well.

In Concert is my favourite show all week, I think, so it's never off Sundays 11-3.

Good morning! For those who have weathered storms, those who avoided banging their heads against pieces of furniture, and those who have redecorated their living quarters, a celebratory warm beverage is in order. Enjoy.

Good morning to you to Redbaron! Here's a small bouquet I picked from my garden - 'dwarf' asters & Chantilly snapdragons both of which I started from seed this year & really enjoy. And of course a bit of perennial ribbon grass. The interesting vase was brought from Russia by my son as a gift from his travels. I think the pic is ever so slightly off focus - didn't have my glasses on! LOL

Good morning! Let us rise and shine! Warm beverages are here to help with that process!
