I'm still finding it hard to get into Christmas here at home. I have plans but not the ompf to do them. Gifts are all bought, I still need to put the tree up.
A few other things going on o trying to be gentle with myself and have reasonable expectations.
On a lighter note-I popped over to London drugs late afternoon. They stock a favourite type of tea I was out of. "It will be quick" I thought. And I went in an old raggedy hoodie -bright lime green that I claimed form my oldest years ago. old sweatpants-and threw a light coat on. Messy haior etc. You get the picture. And so 7 people I know all said hi or stopped to chat. That has to be a record for me in this town. I was very glad I had thrown on a coat.
So now off to the shower before I head out with youngest to retrieve his fixed glasses.

I laughed at the running out and meeting 7 folks. Isn't that the way?

Take care of yourself, Tabitha. Enjoy your time with those that are there, and may there be years in he future, where all are present.

So true pinga & Tabitha - that's always the day you'll see EVERYONE!! Been there, done that!

What a lovely gift - "we'll cook Christmas dinner!" You've raised some good men there pinga :-)

I planned our vegetarian menu for Xmas dinner this morning & shopped this afternoon - lots of yummy stuff will be on the table. Made some cranberry-orange-apple-maple salad dressing tonight - beautiful AND delicious! I think I'll go for a walk now & make the soup when I get home. That will leave tomorrow a little less busy.

or not. Found out the reason I have no get up and go. I have the flu and didn't finish eating dinner before I was throwing up in the bathroom sink.Glad the food etc is all bought for Christmas. Looks like I won't be doing much for a day or two.

Tabitha - take care of yourself first - that has to be the first rule for mothers and/or caregivers. Now is the time to take care of Tabitha. Everything else can wait. And if it doesn't get done this year --- well, there are more important things in life than getting the tree up, and if nobody makes Christmas dinner, open a can of chicken soup.

all will be well. Either son is capable of getting turkey in oven and doing potatoes and veggies.
Merry christmas to all my wc2 friends.

Tab, cold and flu seems to be moving fast through
this community. Hope you are well soon..2015 will be better.

I generally wake around five but try to stay in bed until six. Sometimes I fall back to sleep. Today, by 5:45 I was ready to get up. Why are you up so early in Toronto?
I won't open my Santa gifts until Seelerman is up. He's usually up by now. Maybe I need to go out into the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans.

Merry Christmas everyone (especially those who are also up early). Sending peace, love and joy to everyone. I too usually wake at 5 am, and quietly check things out on the computer - . However, this morning my furbabies wanted to go outside and yapped until I met their needs! I see two stockings waiting for a couple of teenage grands to get out of bed - likely that won't happen for a while. Christmas dinner at a kid's house later (I'm supplying some goodies for the food section). Watching my grands (aged 18-toddler) is sure to be a source of joy and pleasure. They rarely get together.

This morning I was woken up by a wrong number who called and called and called and called our place. :( Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas Seeler!

Have a wonderful Christmas Kay - you and your family - including your furbabies.

I think I hear Santa Claus upstairs right now putting out our stockings.

Good morning and merry Christmas.

Last night involved Christmas eve service with my dad and youngest son, then visiting with great friends and some fine scotch, then up too late with youngest son (3am). I'm happy to say that I am feeling no worse for wear and looking forward to my boys waking up

OldestSon was called in to take a shift today, starting at 2pm to ??? We're hoping it is a short shift, but could be 12 hrs.
Thankfully, we had the morning together.

I will head over to get my Dad in an hour. He has had a morning with brunch at a niece's home and Is having coffee/company now.

My husband made a wonderful breakfast for us and dinner is well in hand. Unusual for me o sit & relax on Chrismas Day!
