Christmas - happiness and joy.
Christmas - sadness and loss.
Thinking of those who are caught in the middle of both. Two of our church families lost their moms in the last few days. Another woman from our community passed away on the weekend. Several families sit beside hospital beds not knowing what the next few days might bring. I feel for those who are facing such sadness at this time of year. Christmas plans have been changed for some, and funeral plans are being arranged.
While my deepest concerns are for the families who have lost loved ones, I also think of the church families, who at such a busy time of year, are trying to support and minister at this time of grief, as well as assist and offer services for funeral services and gatherings. I think of our church ladies, whose numbers are dimishing, as they try to figure out how they are going to get enough help with so many away to provide the luncheons. They won't have a problem - m any will offer to help out in any way they can.
I know my above posts sounds like a downer - it is for those who are grieving.
But there is hope, peace, joy, and love too . . . and I am thankful for the many blessings in my life. I am thankful for my hubby who continues to do the "heavy" stuff while I have to be careful with my eye . . . today we completed our cleaning tasks, with him doing the vacuuming and moving of stuff around. He is my blessing, he has helped me so much.
How is everyone today? The day before Christmas Eve? I hope there is peace in your being and not a lot of stress and panic.
