Good morning everyone!
Hope your day is off to a good start . . . if you are having challenges today, I hope they resolve in a way that works for you.
Life would be too perfect if we didn't have challenges - and too easy. I know that there are many of you that wish you had slightly easier challenges (health, family relationships, work place dilemnas, loss and grief, etc.), and I wish it were so for you too.
I have a few itsy bitsy teensy weensy issues today . . . ones that I can laugh at . . .
Bad News: Broken Toilet/4 people coming as guests over holidays
Good News: It is a second toilet, and plumber promises me he will be here very late this afternoon.
Bad News: Smoke detector beeping and chirping, and I can't get it off the ceiling
Good News: It is not a fire - I am just self-cleaning my oven and there is enough heat and vapours that it keeps setting it off, also hubby will be home soon and I'm sure he will be able to get it down til oven is cleaned.
Bad News: Door Handle of Stove Loose and you have to take the whole door apart to tighten it, and hubby is not a handy man at all.
Good News: We are hoping it will not get worse before or over turkey cooking days/Christmas Season, as long as we can open oven, we are good. Oh yes, and hubby has a lot more better qualities than being a handy man.
For some reason this pre-Christas season is arising a bit of melancholy over my loved ones who are no longer here with us . . . not overly sad, but just a little bit . . . rehashing emotions and memories in my mind.
How is everyone else? Bustling through the season? Taking time to appreciate the Advent? Struggling with thoughts, feelings, and emotions? Looking forward to family gatherings/dreading family gatherings/or no family gatherings?
Blessings to all!
My B-I-L who passed away several years ago now was a fantastic handyman - he could fix anthing, and I mean anything - and if he couldn't buy a part to fix something, he built a part. Everytime something goes wrong at our house we both say "too bad B-I-L wasn't here - he could fix it in a snap"
