Black Friday ... it is all in the concept of what's running out ...time?

The dash is on it seems ... no sloe in the energetic ...

You don't need to be blind to have a cane from CNIB. If assessed as visually impaired, the cane is marked differently. It isn't all white. It ham a red section at bottom.

The team is great. They size the cane. Teach usage. Teach etiquette. Go on standard trips , outings.

My brother was severely impacted by a brain aneurysm. He needed a cane to assist his walking. He needed the cane to be white as he was legally blind. There was a woman in his neighbourhood who was always rushing about without paying attention to who she was bumping into. One day she bumped into my brother AGAIN and yelled at him to 'look where the F*** he was going'. He moved his cane and replied "Where are you? I can't see". The woman in her rush to move on, tripped over his cane. Others in the immediate area defended my brother!

The blind must always defended as they can't see much ... a chosen affliction in some that don't see they need to adjust the dash for the blind!

Some have amnesia of the ayes ... and aye m'n as yes men to loyalty to despots no matter what ...

I would just be getting an identification cane, something that wouldn't be used much otherwise than to show others - and even then it would take time for her to ever bring it somewhere. She has commented sometimes she wishes there was some way to indicate to others she can't see well, but I know at this point she wouldn't actually want that. I could see going out to a crowded area a few times along with comments when having issues with bumping into people or whatever then she might actually try it.
From what I see as long as it is at least 50% white there are legal requirements in most provinces (including here) to carry one in public. She drives although she does limit it herself, so that's where I question if she would qualify.

Tabitha, fairly sure my dad did not pay. Possibly paid for by ccac.

Chemgal, she is driving ?!?
Yes, I don't know how much peripheral vision they require, but she has enough to be able to drive. I don't think she's ever had issues passing the vision tests for a drivers licence with her glasses on.

I asked my 'eye person' about this as my vision is slowly, steadily, getting less useful. His reply was "You still meet the requirements". My next question was "They are probably pretty strict, eh" He shook his head and said "I try VERY hard to not think about them when I'm in a vehicle. It doesn't make my trip more enjoyable to think of all the people with dreadful vision driving along at highway speed".

My grandpa has cataracts - I can confirm they are not very strict, it took a long time before he was legally not able to drive.
And my mom driving at night is pretty bad (she rarely does it) and lane changes, especially on busy roads have also caused her a bit of stress.

Pinga what is ccac? Must be an ONT term. I know in AB and BC for children-there is a cost for orientation and mobility training. The school boards usually pay it.

In NS the service is free and done by volunteers.
If she runs into things- its time to have a uncomfortable talk about giving up driving. Can she imagine what happens how she would feel if she runs over the neighbours dog or child? Would she really want to live with that? What alternatives are available? How much is she spending on the car and how far does she get with that by taxi/ alternative transportation?
Which family members can help out?

Observation ... a vision of the scene that's out there ... needs one to see, a science more objective than the dim subject may!

More watch men to set the time to recede? Can be relief ... like a crack at the stones ... it is not all positive NV Peale ... thus the denied pits ... tis a pain in nominalization ... to put life to word ... a great transitional gap?

Especially when business make ZM $ on telling you to be young when the truth is we're not.

Yet time passes over it easier than mortals ... face it just observe it as science of this domain races away ... mostly in dini-al finmacool a shady monster of subliminal nature? Tis all mental illusion by a pistis consideration as awareness gets no respect ... a highland celt ... or just another stone to be turned as versable!

Powers demand that this be taken as blarney ... Nous falls as a little person ... bewildered by reception? Thus that's 2 far out to be ... as too phums ... a nibble Eire?

That's Scottie waiting for the BMR command ... that dark dis connection of dissociation constants .. a dark thread to say least about what we don't see individually ... integral ideals? That is not to be grasped here as we dream of becoming more ... even the mortal king ... a bit thin on expanse is Hehm?

Getting around the robe as cover ... eM Eire auld isolations ... scions come up to support your ass ...

Stiffed by time .. and so chi go est ... nominally a line, of average permutations ... paradynamic ... paradigm?

The middle will be denied by both ends ... countermanded as creative accounting? More weaving and wobbling ...

Delight of flipping out ... as alternate awareness ... from the object of dis missal? Consider there may be depth for the other side to have relief in tense ... a missing 'ank-eh?

Is long term care often terminated ... just for relief?

Social relief is often looked down upon the entitled, nominally!

Something depot wealth does not like to hear of therein and thus outed!

Supporting sub lime critters?

I know several people who have decided to not drive at night because of vision difficulties. One of them is me. We all have been checked and declared 'safe' for driving.

Same here ... and this more depend on me for odd transits until they pass on to other interests! Transitions ...

My mother-in-law gave up her license when she was diagnosed with macular degeneration. She felt her driving was impaired. She was hit by a guy whose family wouldn't drive with him due to his eyesight. She died a year later as a result of the accident.

Impaired is impaired. This may be worthy of missing this topic to a new thread?
