Pinga, I envy you. But I am planning to go on vacation in June. Within driving distance of a bay ontthe East coast.
I look forward to watching for high tides, and the red mud flats at low tide. As well as the orchards along the river valley, the little towns. I lived in that area during the war years. I've only been back twice in 70 years since and then only to drive through.

It would be easy to feel envious but I choose to rejoice that you can enjoy this special time. Looking forward to updates - preferably with photos!

Home again after a weekend in Edmonton. In the past 18 months I have had 3 weekends there. A wedding a funeral and a 65th birthday party. I never see everybody I used to know on my visits but I always see some. And old memories both good and bad are always stirred up.

We had dinner early, and then came back to room, and relaxed pouring myself a glass of red wine.

I had thought I might read, but wasn't feeling great, so curled up on the bed. I swear i only had a few sips of my wine. I fell asleep at 8pm after a long day of sun , hikes and boating. Must be what almost 60 is like.

Woke up, not feeling great, and could hear my sisters gentle snores.

As I reached to see the time, I forgot about the wineglass, which went winging off the table, hit her bed, broke and spilt red wine across the floor.

About the same time as my sister woke up, I realized the reason I woke up was that the dinner that I had was about to reenter the world. Brussel sprouts Twice tasted. Gross. Made it to the washroom in time, but my sister was busy soaking up red wine

And so, I bring in my 60th birthday. With spilled red wine and being sick after healthy food choices.

There was a time that a story of spilled wine would have had a lot more excitement

Sorry to hear you were sick. Happy Birthday! Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Often if it's something I aate I feel better almost immediately after being sick. But if it's the onset of a stomach flu, it will take a few daays. I hope that you are feeling better this morning Pinga. Toaast and tea for breakfast; if that stays down try a banana. By noon you should feel better - or not.

Oh dear - well - it will be a MEMORABLE birthday, if not a happy one pinga!! Hope you feel better soon.

Happy birthday Pinga. Hope you are feeling better soon. There's an awful flu bug going around here lately. I'm trying to stay out of public places.

My doctor's office called today. She wants to see me as a result of some tests I recently had done. They included blood tests, a urine test, and my first-ever EKG.

Hoping your medical testing got good grades Jae. Sure is great that we don't need to worry about things before we know there is actually something to worry about!

Does anyone here have a good idea on what this might be. Yobo says she has a boom-boom-boom pain that comes and goes on the right side of her head at the back. Our middle son and I are encouraging her to go see her doctor tomorrow. It sounds like it might be some kind of migraine to me. Thanks.
