Room for All
@Carolla -- CodeNames was our go-to game for most of the summer. Most nights would end with one or two tables playing codenames, big teams, lots of laughs.
Had a tournament, where you played with your team. Our team won. I find that there are some people who "get" my clues. Others do not. I tend to form a story with the words, i think. I have an image, and i relate them with a word.
You will understand the concept of the assassin card. There were two tables playing CodeNames. One was very serious. Ours was intent at playing, but, it is a game. One person came from the other table, and was surprised when someone tripped the assassin card, our table broke out in howls as we discussed the logic of the clue and the selection. It is important to know the rules by which people play both from game but also the social type rules.
There is also codename pictures which is good if you have people for whom English is not their primary language or struggle with written words.
Anyhow, absolutely, one of my favourite games, still.
