The above as well as KOA camping fall in the category of things that my husband preferred that I do with my sister
Good depends on what you are measuring
It really doesn't fall into the quiet of electricity free zones, canoeing on quiet lakes, large secluded camping spots, trails and wildlife/nature
Great Wolf Lodge. Ugh. Not my thing, but Claire is in her glory.
Back country? You can have it Tabitha. That's far too rustic for me. I prefer a nice partially-shaded spot in a provincial park. Preferably close to water, electricity, and comfort station. Digging a hole? No thanks. We've never stayed long at a KOA (two nights has been our longest stay). We stay there chiefly to save money.I'd love to try Great Wolf Lodge once.
and KOA is not my first choice of campsite. Actually I prefer back country to car camping any day.
May God bless you as all continue to journey together.Today is a day of laughter and celebration. Today is a day of hugs and congratulations. Today my congregation voted to come out of the closet and declare that we are an Affirming Congregation. Two years of hard work; two years of dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's'. Two years to review what has our policy since before I joined the congregation a decade ago. We already had an inclusive marriage policy. We already had members of the GLBT community in leadership roles. We already had a girl with two Dads, and a family with two Moms in our Sunday School.
I remember back when WC first started - I argued with Alex who said that there wasn't an Affirming congregation east of Ottawa. I claimed that we were - all but in name. In my church when we said 'All Are Welcome' we meant it. I was wrong. It's not enough to go through the motions; too often people have been told that 'all are welcome' only to find that it doesn't include them. We have to declare it publically.
And we have.
Hallalujiah! Hurray!! Rainbows!
