You can have ANY treats, virtually, tabitha, and I've just slightly tweaked my latest scone recipe - white cheddar, freshly roasted cumin, black pepper, toasted pecans. My daughter just went by, mumbling, mouth full, "Mom, you are f***ing genius..."

*Being, fortunately, in a sort of perky, busy mood, none of my friends/relatives particularly worrying me at present (well, the Kid in Intent City, somewhat, but that's with the Universe), I'll go into Momma Bette mode and check on everyone, re-fill cups, etc.*

I am sorry for those who have to worry about people, well, not that you have to worry about it, but that you do worry about it.

I too was worried about someone, and am extremely thankful that their biopsy results came back benign. It has been weighing heavily on me. I am so aware of what a non-benign result can do.

I am feeling a little bit under the weather because of poor food choices. I really can't eat much citrus with my GI, it tends to be sensitive. On the plus side, my cold is just about over....woohoo!

So, I will join you in the room, and do a jigsaw puzzle.

Snuggle up Tabitha. What 'treats' would work best for you now that you really have to watch your diet and blood sugar levels. I would be happy to make some in my cyber kitchen. It truly is a wonderful place - instant treats with theclick of a keyboard! ;)

I read 'cyber kitten' which sounded like a great addition to this room. My husband is allergic, so cyber kittens are the best I'm going to get.

I too am allergic to some kitties ... causes influx of blood and edema of a strange sort ...

Some kitties mistake it for a mousse ... thus fluffy outcomes at times ...

God-love in a blind ration is a metaphor ... fr not seeing what's nex tus ... be the death of me ...

Is that mire/dirt on the matter of intercourse of ideam ... strang efflux ...

Had a great conversation over dinner tonight at the little bar at the hotel. (quite a different crew from last time).

I was asked by one person about where to travel in Canada, talked about the wine industry in the Okanagan and Niagara region. Then, we moved on to the traditional question "so, how is your health care". I shared my story of my treatment plan. The man shared his story of his father who lost his house over the bills (co-pay) for his 3rd wife's cancer treatment. The father is now living in a small in-law apartment at this man's house. It was good to dispel the myths.

Room for all except the lesser power of thought in a land of exuberant desires ... would the mental power grumble about elimination, denial and the ignore function? Only subtly in light of the biblical attitude about knowledge and understanding alien WORD ... foreign agents of everything (god)? Imagine what we don't understand as a miraculous cover-up of being shut away in a book ... singular tome? Multiple metaphors and metaphysical understanding may be required as apocalyptic ...

Did you know that apocalyptic is analogy of waking or a Doning sensation that you've extracted something or other ... from beside yourself ...

Tab, get cork for kitchen floor. My s-i-l loves it, and I'm getting it next time for sure. (I've had lino, vinyl and ceramic tile).
I got my Mom cork floor - it doesn't like moisture and it actually wears (we have to replace pieces near the couch, etc). That said, I love it.

Tab - is this incredible news about child who's been "away"

Justme, so thankful to have you back. Welcome.

I had a great evening, with lots of people out to celebrate my retirement. My manager did a lovely job of complimenting me earlier in the day, and it was fun to reminisce. I will miss these folks, but, I know that I am doing the right thing and look forward to all the new people that I will meet.

I think it's a no to cork floors for me. My kitchen and dining room flow together and chairs are hard on cork. Apparently you need the little pads on the chir and table legs.
No thanks. Actually looking at a vinyl laminate, water proof, tongue and groove lock together pieces.

I've seen some cork floors and really liked them. I don't think of them as a kitchen floor though. I would love to have cork in the bonus room - based on just what I have seen, no research into flooring. Possibly master bedroom as well.

So many choices in flooring nowadays. We recently replaced our 'cushion' floors and shag carpets with sheet vinyl. Really enjoying it so far. It was a challenging decision as we balanced cost, durability, maintenance and appearance. Hubby declared at some point in the process "No one has invented perfect flooring yet".

Surprise! As well as the usual groceries and household products, our Coop store has a furniture and appliance department where Seelerman sometimes hangs-out while I'm choosing vegies and canned goods. This week he guided me over to look at a chesterfield. February Sale. All leather, taupe colour. Our current chesterfield is a flowered pattern fabric, 17 or 18 years old, showing wear but still useable.
Long story, short. The old chesterfield was picked up by a charity yesterday; the new chesterfield should arrive tomorrow. I'm pleased. I've been wanting a new leatheer chesterfield for some time.
This one should 'see us out'.

A corker of a story about that soft under soul?

We kept the old fabric swivel chair and footstool. Does anybody know a home-cleaning method?

I have a carpet steamer with a furniture brush. Used to work okay on my wife's old fabric sofa before we dumped it in favour of leather. I know there are some small ones on the market now aimed specifically at furniture, stain removal, and other jobs that are really too small for a full sized unit like mine. You do need to test for colour fastness, though, so you might want to rent rather than buy until you see if it works.
