Long distance friendships suck
A friend I met while in England was in Vancouver and Victoria for the last week (and loved it). The last time I saw him was three years ago for a day at a friend’s wedding and 4 years before that. He had a brief 4hr stop over in Toronto on his way to Paris and then Benin (where he is currently living). He had hoped to have more time but was flying on a cheap mistake fare that couldn’t be changed without a huge jump in price. I managed to leave work early and meet him at the airport for a couple hours which was fantastic but far too short! Two hours every 3-4years is not enough! I am very very glad I got to see him, but I miss my long distance friends
