Yes it was a lovely day! I spent much of it inside at work, clearing out my workspace ... interesting what one finds after 31 years inhabiting a space. I've been thinking all those moving house ... what job!

Tomorrow's weather sounds delightful too. We're heading off early to Port Elgin for the Hamilton Conference AGM - looking forward to it actually. Our moderator Rt. Rev. Jordan Cantwell will be preaching at the Saturday service. I heard her a bit at the last General Conference when she was selected, and on occasional videos - so looking forward to hearing her again. For the AGM we stay at the Unifor Centre - wonderful building, and right on the shore of Lake Huron. I hope to make it down to the beach for sunset at least! Birthstone is coming too - bringing a vehicle full of youth to participate in the Youth Forum activities ... always such good energy from those kids.

We have had repeated threats of foul weather all day. It only amounted to heavy sky, a few short showers and some thunder though. This evening it is a lot cooler than it has been lately.

1/2 hour shower at 6am and then like Kay -threats. White City, on the other hand, got

a heavy down pour this am. .........20 mins. from city.

The real estate agent was here tonight and we signed the papers. Sign goes up Saturday or Sunday, depending when we get away. I'm relieved to have a bit more time. Looking at this house with a more critical eye has caused me to see spaces that need to be cleaned or dusted or whatever. A few more hours should do it. Then I think we will sleep for a week......

Northwind - big changes coming - and a bit of sorrow for those things left behind. But you have planned it well. I'm looking forwwrd to seeing you when you reach the Maritimes - but I realize that is a year or so away.
Happy trails to you.

Thanks @Seeler So far not much sorrow. I suppose that is because we haven't developed deep roots here. The people who mean most to us are in other places. We are so looking forward to this new adventure.

Do tell the Rev Cantwell, should you get an opportunity to do so, that her thoughts make me uncomfortable, in the very best of ways. I seriously adore a message/messenger who confronts my comfortable ideas, and she is very good.
Hey Bette - I delivered your message in person today :-) I enjoyed a nice walk with Jordan after lunch, as we both headed down to the lake for some quiet time apart from the crowd. She appreciated your comment. She was also very surprised to hear I went intentionally to SK (her home province) for a vacation - LOL.

There's no place like Saskatchewan!
