wind is blowing hard again

I am so dumb. It was cold in my apartment. Could find a thermostat but no rad.

So I jacked up the thermometer and it started to warm up. Heated floors.

My god, now I will have hot feet Does anyone have heat coming up their

housecoat?

Fired my cleaning service today. It was to the point where I was waiting for a text or call all morning saying that they had to reschedule me. Went out for lunch, checked messages while out, could have stayed longer but nothing so left to be home and clear a few things out of the way. Got the message at 1:08 when someone should be here for 1:30.
I don't get it. I often feel 'unreliable' because of my illness. Yes, things can pop up last minute. Generally though I can tell someone in the morning that I'm not going to be able to make it in the afternoon. My 'cancellation rate' is certainly well below 90%. I'm at a loss at the number of times I get less than an hour's notice that someone won't be able to come.

Congratulations. Hate to hear about people wasting good money on poor service.

What you might do for the company is to tell them very clearly, in writing, why they got fired. Copy the Better Business Bureau. Might inspire them to try harder before they go bankrupt.

It's a small company, the owner is the one who does all the scheduling. When I wasn't happy about cleaning (it was different people, with a high rate of turnover) that would result in either a discount or no need to pay. I think she was aware I was getting frustrated with the scheduling issues. I fired by text today, in response to the one I got. I did give the reason and I don't think she was surprised.

Annnd ... Friday is upon us ... I'm sitting on my porch swing, with a lovely cold drink, catching up on the 'doing's here with all my peeps. Crazyheart - so funny! Heated floors are quite wonderful!

What's up for the weekend with everyone?

Got married 6 years ago. So last year to celebrate we moved my sister's family. I have a feeling we might be with them again for our anniversary this year, sharing the date with potential birthday, we'll see.

Going to a friend's horse farm just outside town tomorrow with my guy to i) have a massage (she's also my massage therapist), ii) acquire some composted horse manure and iii) have a nice visit and a yack. NOT taking dog, as we did so last time we visited, and she found a fresh patch of horse s**t to rub herself in. I mean entirely, like green, and then she found a patch of burdock with some of last year's burrs on the ground with it, and got gnarly and knotted as well as green. Twas not fun. Then, Sunday is our congregational potluck picnic after church, so I'm going to test my fried chicken recipe on the guinea pigs tomorrow night and take the leftovers for lunch Sunday, cold fried chicken being the staple of any picnic in my opinion.

OTOH, retirement finally starting to sink in, what purpose "weekend", except that I have to remember that it's Sunday, for church...

I'm so glad the day is over. It was a little action packed. Everyone came out alive, so that is good....... Tonight I will be putting my feet up and relaxing. I need to come in to work tomorrow to do some paperwork so I'm done before I leave for a month next week. I also plan to do things with the trailer to get it ready for our trip to Ontario.

Two weeks today I will be in Pancake Bay Provincial Park in Ontario. I think the campfire should be about started at that point for a relaxing evening.

Thursday I was busy, busy. Maybe walked past my puzzle twice and got a piece or two.
For the last few days I've had a sore on my back, on my shoulderblade just under may bra strap. I could neither see it nor reach it but I figured it to be an irritation or a pimple - tried a different bra. It was still bothering me Thursday morning so, while getting my B12 shot I asked the doctor to look at it. Red, swollen, but without a head. Ruled out shingles. And she perscribed an antibiotic. I took pills at noon, supper, and bed time while trying to carry on my planned activities. But the pain was bad! By bedtime Seelerman said that there was a big red circle maybe 4 inches in diameter on my back. Feeling so sick I almost threw up but took to my bed with a sleeping pills, Took a pain pill at 2:30 am. Slept until almost 9:00 - that's late for me.
Anyway today I've been miserable.
My doctor doesn't work on Fridays. I phoned Telecare and talked to a nurse. She suggested antibiotic cream, light gauze bandage, observation, and a quick trip to the clinic if it's worse tomorrow.
In the meantime my neighbour came over. 89 pieces to put in the puzzle. We worked together. At one point she became frustrated that she couldn't get the only one left white/blue piece in the only spot left in the top section. I told her that it wouldn't happen - that I was almost sure that there were pieces in wrong. So between us we took out two or three at a time and moved them around. Bingo! They fell into place. Then we finished up the last of the black, blue and white. Wow!
Thus endth he saga of the puzzle.
Admiring it on the coffee table for now. Will try to get a picture to post soon.
