Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! For plastic forks, trellises, and cayenne pepper, and any other safe cat repellant, we continue to search. For these and other discussions, we gather round the Coffee Cart, to sharer support, ideas, joy and laughter, sadness and solace, and of course the hot beverage of your choice. All is ready.

No wandering cats where we live. Occasional racoons, foxes, coyotes.occasionally the chickens from two houses over wander this way. Turkeys at times.

Attending by Zoom the second day of the AGM of Eastern Ontario and Outaouais Regional Conference ready to contribute my two cents worth. I got back from Montreal yesterday in time to listen to the presentation and discussion of the remit regarding the Indigenous church within the UCC. The comments made in the gathering of the whole and in the breakout group I attended were variations of Can we trust Indigenous people to do the right thing as in style of worship, right beliefs, etc. Paternalistic racism is still live and well in the UCC. I will be hurting some feelings today, hopefully, in calling this out as a fifth generation settler.

When at the facilities assisting preparation for a communal T/O meal, I noted a lady walking an animal that appeared like a fox on a leash ... it was a large cat with following bu shei tale following ... the greater mind loves eM things as Memes leading to Memnon and rest! Like Boz in the Beu Zoans ... twilight?

The matters that are exchanged in the Shadow raise curiosity! Some say magi phlogiston ... mystical matter for creating something from doing nothing ... when it was not as appeared ... stress relief? In the coarse ways of boosting health? In derick hoarse ... unspeakable's are out ... de panned ... un impaired?

Foxes ruin what ... myths? Maybe Jack all ... Deis 'd ... on of those occult things ... really nicht (Nordic)! Alien to common (homo) folk ... are sols phobic with the human creature ... thus anima s' in ephemeral genre! The wyrd essence ... fey & flighty! Especially with brutes ... they may get battered before reason settles in ... walk softly dere spirit! There be dogs in Rome ...

Kabbala draws ... I may son be sucked out of existence ... ontological stint comes to Cloes ... Bung is in ... hopefully no one understands w' hare heh went ...

Sigh. The whole point is to let them do their own, right, thing in style of worship, etc. is it not? The point is to trust them to be indigenous and bring that perspective to the church. Otherwise, we are back to the thread about them leaving Christianity period.

The tattoo begins and heart thrums ... supplies the neural system with what we don't want to know ... that's autonomy ...

The great unknown as matters to get into ...

Good on you for hurting those feelings. It's needed. Let us know how it goes if you can.

We're going to a local Saturday market that is held in the downtown today. We haven't been in awhile so we're looking forward to it. We're at my sister's house sitting. They'll be back today. I plan to make beef stroganoff in the instant pot. I bought some paprika in Kelowna that I'm looking forward to trying. If my sister and her husband get home around 6 we'll be eating with them. If not, they'll have to reheat their portion because they'll be home around 8. It depends on which ferry they catch

Good morning! As Regional Council meeting season goes on, as feelings are miffed and emotions rise, and issues are decided; as markets are visited, and houses are sat, as all the other events and things that make up life transpire, we gather round the Coffee Cart, to reflect and share, find solace and support, to take a breather. All is ready, come join in.

A dash in the marketplace to discover if those will mentally process or remain rigid as if stoned!

It is said we all have addict shuns ...

Then there is the condition leading to greatest de fault ... lost onus for the greater concerns that surround us?

At Mos phere as clearly ignored quality by great industrial wheels? It may be taken as Eire lie dispersed ... gassed! On Don Tae as close to Adonai?

May resemble de bore onus as a bubbled thought ... wort? De bore ah should not be distributed insanely ... but it is ... prodigal!

Some like to drain it ... to deeper zones ... thus Oh Shaw 'n the beach with Selkies; slick conspiracies as hermeneutic ... closed cases? Chimera! Turbulent ...

I'm pleased that my husband and son have a family doctor.

Part of the learning in the craziness of my spouses illness was that he had been delisted from our doctors practice.

Our doctor retired about 15 years ago, and we were transferred to a new doctor. Had to sign a form which he did. That doctor quit about two years later and we were transferred to a new doctor.

Turns out neither of my guys had gone in to meet either doctor or see a doctor in those 15 years. They were marked inactive, then dropped. They say they communicated.

There is a shortage of family doctors here. My spouse needs to have a GP.

Anyhow good news is, I found him one and first appointment is next week.

An Australian who moved to Canada and settled in this area.

Fingers crossed

Good that you found one. Finding family docs around here is apparently still not easy. We landed in the practice of a new guy (just finished residency in 2019 or something like that) but he's closed to new patients now and he was the only one taking patients when we were searching in early 2021.

I'm really happy with my family doc. He is in a group practice and the others I have met have been pretty good too. One has made a significant effort to learn extra info about brain injuries and works very well with my son. It can be problematic getting an appointment with my choice of doctor (three week wait), however it is possible to see A doctor. If all else fails one goes to the ER and will get examined and treated.

Good morning! For those who have found family GP's, for those still looking for one, we give thanks, or give best wishes. For those south of the border, Happy Memorial Day. For race fans hope you enjoyed the 500. For those and other topics of interest or fascination, we gather round the Coffee Cart to chat. All is ready, come on in.

Good morning again! As I dump out yesterday's unused coffee, and draw fresh water to boil for tea, etc., once again the Coffee Cart is up and running, ready to host your conversations. All is ready, come on in.

Sitting at the Ottawa General while waiting for B to go to surgery. Will go for lunch and work on my message for Sunday. Will cover baptism and the Trinity. The reading is the Great Commission at the end of Matthew. This might have been a good BPotW for this week. The making disciples of all the nations could make for a good discussion.

Hey, I know someone (not me) who would be appalled by the thought of dumping coffee and would rather keep it in a pitcher in the fridge for a week before dumping it.

I might be one to keep it in a pitcher for a while (pouring it out, to me, seems like spilling sacramental wine...) but a week would definitely be stretching it.
