It's a quiet dreary day here. My sister just let me know her mother-in-law has died. That's sad. She and her husband helped us adjust to northern life. We enjoyed our visits with them. Visits always included laughter. I hope they have been reunited. I'm watching some good videos on YouTube this morning while I continue working on Mr Northwind's sweater. I'll probably get outside later.

Good morning! Happy Easter! As we mark the deaths of f-i-l's and m-i-l's, and others close, or sort of close to us, may we remember that love doesn't end at death. As we think of grands who wake at OMG o'clock am, as well as those who could sleep through a bagpipe outside their window, let us remember the snuggles and joys. As we gather round the Coffee Cart, let us join in conversation, support, and community. All is ready; and after we're done here we can go hunt Easter eggs.

One of my nieces in the UK shared some 'news' this morning. Her son, aged 17, announced that it was Easter - bring on the chocolate eggs. They are because that Jesus bloke was born on this day.
Apparently he didn't gather up much useful knowledge during his compulsory Religious Education classes!

A few years ago my husband brought up it being Jesus' birthday one Christmas. Whose Jesus? was the response of my oldest nephew. I thought with all the Christmas shows they would be slightly more clued in.

I'm glad it's finally spring-like here. Beginning of April was fairly consistent, but cool. It was nice to see some double digits finally. Maybe the snow in the shade will be gone for next weekend.

I've been missing the typical Easter baked goods, without online pickup for whatever reason it just wasn't an option this year and I did hear it was hard to find shopping in stores too. My mom was getting a bit nostalgic with the paska she picked up, something my grandparents always had at Easter. We had pie (plus of course chocolate eggs). Pie just isn't the same though.
We will be extending Easter similar to most holidays this past year it seems - sister's family is sick. So while store bought is the usual for us (and even my grandparents typically bought whether through the church or elsewhere) I might need to pull up a recipe.

Good morning! As we begin a new week, let us gather round the Coffee Cart for hot beverages and community and conversation. For those a tad confused about Easter's meaning, but remember it has something to do with chocolate eggs, for those who wonder, 'Jesus who?' at the mention of Christmas, for springtime breaking out, for all the other things this new day brings, we're here for it. Come on in and join us!

Good morning.

Hope your day goes well.
May the sun shine on you
May there be something to laugh about

Redbaron will be by soon with his endless cup of coffee. Thankful for him and it

Sometimes spring breaking out with gusto and stimuli ... some bouncing may be expected ... ripples may echo thro' the Cosmos! Expect darker waves too ...

When conquering some mountains there is much to fall into on the alternate side ... "Lord You Gave Me ... that situation of being born in a desert" a hot plate? Tectonics ...

Imagine: In the Heat of the Night! is that mysterious enough ... sometimes it erupts ...

I find it strange how people can completely miss all the clues and hints over the years.

Just goes to show how unimportant the church is in some circles.

Easter Monday is a strange day. The library was open and the walking track was closed.

Very sunny and getting warm. It will be a good afternoon for a long walk along the highway. Maybe I will get as far as town.

Good morning. I'm still at my sister's with the cat. It was a very quiet day yesterday. The cat is a fussy guy who probably thinks I'm trying to poison him. He ate the food I gave him last night and now has the energy to tear around like a crazy man. Cats.
