I couldn't tell for certain what happened with the sidewalk. Trees roots pulled it up when the tree fell over?
Yeah, he didn't say, did he. Probably that's what happened. Some of the trees that came down in those areas are massive. They don't call this place the Forest City for nothing.

Good morning, all, happy Victoria Day. We ponder the aftermath of storms over the weekend, and lingering power outages caused thereby; as well as the myriad of other things going on in our lives and world. The coffee cart is up and running, to provide space discussion and chats, serious or not so serious. C'mon in and join the fun.

How stimulating ... or perhaps stigmatizing if we didn't wish to have our sentient matter healed ... thus it is left ... resting ... as if taken off with feelings and sensations! The perspective of intuition may remain distant ... if you know what I mean (often not understood in many situations).

Be prepared for that instant of apo plexus ... it comes next ... if you have nerve for it! Many are insecure and just bite viciously without rationale ...

Others nibble constantly ... sense that gnawing ... it is the immortal side recovering the mortal i.e. the abstract consuming the absolute or reciprocation ... as it comes to pass ... like Psyche this can blow through as A Modest Proposal ... the consumption of those ignorant about being self consumptive ... it is a cycle like that mythical circle ... arrives on queue ...

Matters only available to psyche and thus psychotic and bothersome to those in the dark about lesser light ... sparks are thus potential eruptions ... spasmodic?

Spontaneous jerk on unknown reason ... thus Tzar'd ... as Caesar and stopped ... might have been Patria 'n other complexes ... and Pađre was something dropped in Eire ... by Latins ... Nostredamus as our word in nasal form ... honked ... like unseen essences ... cos unknown! I word you can pose anything and some will accept the most peculiar conceptions ... not to be sneezed at as all things being possible in mind ... as long as not escaping ... thus retained ... often swallowed!

Then one may contemplate what happens when sol overlaps the darkness of emotional myth ... the essence most misunderstood?

Rotten heartwood ... provides spatial habitants ... the decomposition of A dam and fall of Eve ... don't nacht it ... as that which came down well ...

May appear as a shadow in the field or Wahl as once formed a barrier ... for releasing heat ... expect eruptions! Natural or unnatural or MOG wise as subtle ... booty!

Contrast may illuminate the margins ... mannerisms about expressing that which isn't physical ... but iconic as perhaps cognate and Semite ... words now fossils ... hard bones of classic elaborations ... well augured ...

Happy Victoria Day, and happy clean-up day for some. For once, Northern Ontario did not get hit hard. But, not far away, Gaylord Michigan was not so lucky.

Good morning, all! Sunshine in this part of the world, gentle breeze blowing. Nice sprig/summer day here. Anyway the coffee cart is up and running, ready to inspire all your musings on various topics, and facilitate community building. All is ready.

I see on CNN a term denial has evolved as an ism and thus anything that was can now be easily disposed ... and all of that sentient observed in a word ... that many folk will allow to descend in history as really dis believable!

Thus there was nothing and it all began a priori ... thus much dis -ing in the back stage ...

Some observers call it a dark energy ... something not seen until it comes up there ... where? Where previously it was unseen ... and many hard straight liners cannot get their head about it ... as the O is said to be a myth except for the physical manifestation ... that may be just opposing Ah Ole ... thus positive and negative holes ... some proton-like others eclectic ... thus the hard to gather sects ...

Many folks fail to believe their eyes and thus the illumination was wasted ... Jesus failed? Maybe just below the surface ... as heat in the nacht ...

Can heat travel unseen? Thus it erupts ... as memes or even cognates ... in bits ...

Other don't wish to know about it ... and thus remain in an eited state ... sacred in Nate? Poorly understood to say least ...

Chilly here too overnight - I potted up some tomato & pepper plants - so the big pots are being moved in & out of the garage for a bit of night protection against the cold! Hoping that soon will be over!

The buns are baking - you can grab a hot one in about 15 minutes.
Today is sunny with a cold breeze. It is also my partner's 79th birthday.
We brought our wee camper home yesterday from a winter on our younger son's acreage. Despite being buried in a snow drift it survived just fine. No moisture anywhere inside.
I almost forgot to mention that this afternoon I get the stitches removed from my back. Hubby and I are both paying the price of being careless with sunshine. Nowadays we seem to be taking turns to get blobs of skin cancer removed.

A few people in my family, including Dad not longer before he died, have had skin cancers removed. Same problem. Too much sun and not enough sunscreen in our cottage days back in the seventies and eighties.

I am more than a bit disturbed to observe my kids and grands being carefree in the sun. Mostly there is no sunscreen to be seen.

Went to the Van Gogh exhibit today and afterwards with a friend to Ikea for lunch and to Costco.
Quite an adventure, amazing what they can do. This is just a wuote from the first room with information about VanGogh, I thought it fits into todays time

I think that the emphasis on it has lessened now that the ozone crisis is largely over, but there was no ozone hole when we were partying in the sun back then, or at least not as significant as the one that led to the banning of CFCs and other measures in the nineties. But I know our health unit still puts out information on sun safety via social media regularly (now that they're spending less social media time on you know what) so there's really no excuse other than laziness or denial. The information is out there.

Amen :3

And
We may not survive all this (eventually each of us doesn't), what matters is what we do with our time left :3

Aaand Optimists live longer, happier lives :3

The British philospher Colin Wilson studied (among many other people) Van Gogh. It was one of his observations that his paintings where when he was in a very enlightened state, that his paintings are very much what he actually perceived, reality in all its beauty and wonder.

Or skin sensitivities to sunscreen with things outside that still need to be done.
I find it's tough, probably got way more sun than I should have this weekend, but no burning.

Fair enough, but then long sleeves and hats are the order of the day, the health folks would probably suggest. I always wear a hat outside during the day since I am bald enough to be vulnerable but still have enough hair to make putting screen on my scalp a PITA.

Hats I do. Long sleeves when doing outdoor work? Not so much. Even when it's cooler I typically end up pushing my sleeves up as they get in the way.

Yeah, I agree. I actually prefer my arms bare unless it's seriously cold. But I also have the option of wearing sunscreen on them.
