The bird looked a bit like a water Ouzel, also called a water dipper. They can walk under the water in rapids as they look for critters to eat.

Keep up with the attempts at identification, folx :3

I have been using reverse image search after my initial Grey Jay inspiration...

Still lookin :3

Is this a sparrow sized bird or more like a robin or jay? Trying to decide what it is.

It's about the size of a robin. I have since learned (been reminded) that we were told it's an American dipper. They like to hang out near moving water.

I was going to give it a (y) but the birdie bumped it to a . Cute little guy. And that looks like a lovely area. Was it a very long hike/walk?

The walk was flat and easy. You could probably go to the falls and back in about 10 minutes.

Good morning! Waterfalls and birds and plants, oh my.... for the springtime wonders like hummingbirds and bleeding heart , waterfalls and such, let us give thanks. Let us gather round the coffee cart, and share hot beverages, thoughts and support. All is ready.

Give it time ... brute forces are good at disposing reality ... thus we enter the alternate expression! At one time someone declared it done by a dream master ... Jo' was that EU?

I also thought it might be a dipper, but the tail looked too long (to me). Then I wondered about cowbird. I always have problems when I can't tell what size the bird is.

They are SO ADORABLE

I never woulda guessed that something that looks like a songbird can do those things

Nature is awesome

Picked up my prescription at the pharmacy today. The pharmacy assistant knew my name when she saw me. My thoughts:
- I am getting old and have so many prescriptions that she now knows my name
Second thought:
She just has an excellent memory.

Sounds like Community to me :3

I don't have a particularly good memory for names, but I'd say that I probably know at least 1/2 of my regular customers by name. And that's mainly because I see whatever name they have on their "optimum card", if they have one; we tend not to introduce ourselves (or I know them from my various local associations). But a pharmacy assistant sees everyone's name. So, I'm voting for good memory, and good on you for continuing patronage of one reliable pharmacy. I think we get better deals and better service when we patronize a few good local stores rather than tearing around trying to get the "best deal". (My pharmacy assistant knows my name because she is the daughter of the Greek owner of the independent little cafe right next to the pharmacy, of which my family are regular customers, so I've known her since she was very small.)

Good morning, all! From figuring the ID of a bird, to pharmacists and others who remember us by name, to all the other stuff that happens in a day, we come here to decompress, or energize, or find support. The coffee cart is ready to help facilitate those (and other) processes. Come and get it.

I yam wondering about an optimum card ... did some people think that was them?

Ponder thoughts differently and the world takes on a different light from how the determinates have is settled ... not that bright!

Good morning, all! April showers hereabouts seem to be happening about 2 weeks late, but the trees are leafing out nicely now. As the new day begins, let us greet it as we gather round the coffee cart. All is ready.

Latency ... the curse of Muses ... considering what came first and led them on ... Primal Leadership??? (tome by Daniel Goleman)

Prepare for Eire given the flaws ... seeps and weeps ... sentient? If the populace doesn't understand imagine wha the powers could tell them ... and then the formal myth! Literal disruption of dissonance ... once an Eris like Psyche ... received and continued ...

Good morning. We are venturing out to the movie theatre tonight. We've got tickets for the new Downton Abbey movie. It's exciting. It's scary. I'll be wearing a mask for it.

Could be the first summer blockbuster without people in tights and capes in quite a while, eh. At least if everyone who apparently watched the show turns up. (yes, I am eagerly awaiting the end of the superhero craze)

My friend bought the tickets online the other day. She said not many seats were filled at that time. I guess we'll see. I'm hoping the theatre is not full.

Is this indicative of the end of the powerful leader phase ... thus causing a turn in the MB Profile (considered an abstract to many determinate types as stuck innately). To observe one must get beyond the previously unseen self ... mental seers can have fun over this shadowy function ...
