Whatever @Jae. I thought you were smart enough to do a graduate degree......playing dumb doesn't suit you.

If you have someone blocked you might not see the explanation.

To get us out of this loop:

In many cancer treatment centres, when one completes your series of treatments, you ring a bell.

It is often a day of celebration.

Some people bring treats for their caregivers. Others a picnic or snacks for fellow patients.

I wrote a message on the bottom of my feet last time that I had a brachytherapy treatment.

Wore superwoman socks and Cape at my last chemotherapy for a quick photo with a friend.

Although there are many sad things and painful, horrendous situations, there is also comradery in the clinics.

We find ways to live well in the midst of it all.

Thank you for the explanation Pinga. What a grand celebration a bell-ringing event would be. Congratulations to all who have celebrated the completion of cancer treatments.

How do you expect they got down under ... auguries? Under the horizon ... especially of old European BS that they should rule the world .. thus longitude and latitude for spin ... you can't say it obviously as many are still flat out in BS as it the fallacy goes ... somewhat warped! Logical fallacy as it come back at ya 'n ah spin ... the story as w*oven! It is often wolfed down without at haught ...

Thus we live in chaos and few know anything 've ide ... a'priori ... first order ... scrooge d!

Dee NDs ... divination! Schism ... Jaz em until they's chimera ..

I like your analysis of colonialism -and, er, does this mean you like me? ;)

2 days later - Funny story - I rang the bell. Everyone saw me ring the bell. I have a BIT of a hearing problem.

Everyone heard me ring the bell. They clapped. I said to my kids "Did you hear the bell. Must be something

wrong with it, I could hardly hear it. They all laughed. and said , in unison, it seemed "Now will you listen to us,

you're deaf. "I think they have a video with a bell going on and on.

PP, Actually it was a good book, I didn't have to think much. hahaha.

Crazyheart, hearing loss is just one more thing we seem to have o deal with as we get older - certain sounds simply don't seem to register. Sometimes it's funny - ringing bell and wondering why it doesn't work, while everybody else is hearing it and laughing. But more often it is embarassing or irritating.
Seeleergirl to me on rhe phone: R--- (her daughter, my granddaughter) ---- home late ------ -----
Me: Oh? But she's home now. That's good.
Seelergirl:: She worked over---- until ----------
Me: Uh, uh.
Seelergirl: She --- a ..... ... .... way home.
Me: (being agreeable) That's good.
Seelergirl: MOM! Did you hear what I said? She hit a deer!!
So I blamed a poor phone connection, but we both knew that it was my hearing. Over the phone you can't see expressions, do lip reading, or read body language - all things that help when you only catch a few words. I often suspect that I give inappropriate responses. Sometimes I must just sound stupid or inattentive.
Do you have a hearing aid? I've considered looking into getting one; but I just spent a fortune on my teeth.

Funny thing
I actually have something with my brain that makes it more likely to forget any info contained in sounds

So I literally can forget what someone is saying as they say it and I have learned ways of compensating for it

So not all times when I "forgot" to take out the garbage when parental units asked was because of teen wilfullness

ah...is it possible that you aren’t understanding how sketchy all those right wing podcasters you listen to are, because you forgot what they just said?:p

Sorry for derail. It came up in the moment.

I found since I moved to a quieter town, I have more trouble blocking out car noises and sirens, that infrequently go by...than I used to. And it used to be frequent noise, in the big city...but I was able to sleep through it, usually.
