We were in the 30s for new cases per day for a while. Yesterday, it was in the 60s, today in the 90s. Stampede just ended, I expect daily new cases will be increasing for a while.,
As long as hospitalizations stay down I don't think he cares at all about things like long term symptoms. It will be interesting to see what the next couple weeks brings and how Kenney will respond.
Over 100 today. Shandro responded- it's expected. Like this is part of the plan.It will be interesting to see what the next couple weeks brings and how Kenney will respond.

UCP seems to think healthcare is a good place for cuts during a pandemic.
Is BC doing much more than AB now? I was surprised how quickly they dropped the masking rules too.BC said some increase in infections is expected as things open up. I trust the process more there knowing they are opening more methodically and have plans to respond to the situation. Alberta's plan of going completely back to normal and of having a stampede is a big concern for me. Stay well.
They are still recommended here too, although messaging has been a little mixed.BC is at least still recommending masks. They were very reluctant to mandate masks and only did so when the numbers started going out of control. I'm hoping they're right when they say they can track down and isolate cases now. Of course. Time will tell.

Depends on who you listen to. If it's a guy from Ontario driving a blue truck for publicity who has been confused between influenza and coronavirus a few times through the pandemic, sure, it may sound like this is over but even he has chosen to have legal restrictions in place. From this angle it looks like the message is to go back to normal. Thankfully when we were going through AB it looked like most were being smart.
One thing I noticed about the vaccine was that I barely felt it. Quite different from tests that require drawing blood.I have been trying to convince my son, who has needle phobia. But now, his GF had her second dose and felt bad for 24 hours, she is now saying that she wouldn’t have gotten it if she had known. She still doesn’t feel 100%.
I said- you now have a bit of an idea what it would be like to actually get Covid- just 10 times stronger and for two weeks or for months. She didn’t get it. With her not on the vaccination side, there is no chance that he will be getting a shot. Both of them have no paid sick time. I tried to argue they need to think about how they are going to pay their bills, because they btw. he will be getting it and then likely she will be having to isolate. Thus four weeks of no pay.
