Novel Coronavirus

We were in the 30s for new cases per day for a while. Yesterday, it was in the 60s, today in the 90s. Stampede just ended, I expect daily new cases will be increasing for a while.,

It will be interesting to see what the next couple weeks brings and how Kenney will respond.

Over 100 today. Shandro responded- it's expected. Like this is part of the plan.
There's going to be an update about emergency room capacity tomorrow as on top of things there are staff shortages with closures in some towns, an emergency department in Edmonton went down to half the beds, another department here had to reduce hours and some staff ended up with a 4% pay cut. UCP seems to think healthcare is a good place for cuts during a pandemic.

Sounds like the frustration of total freedom going up against the Golden Rule considering the network we're entangled with at present ...

In the future? Well that's a different fold in the mystical domain ... possibly beyond mental epiphany! That'd be a chaos of flash in the shaded incite (inside story as we add depths to it)!

There are those that just never know about the thickness and density of hard perspectives ... like having a vision beyond oneself?

It goes against powerful self observances ... and lack of observation of any object beyond that ... thus denying an OBI vision ... for the sake of remaining purely subjective. When we wanderers begin to see it is time to get out of here ...

Imagine spirits and essences that tumble from the Tree of Life ... and apples not to far from it ...

NS has has no new cases for a couple of days, no patients in the hospital in all of the Maritimes. ( the last person in ICU, a woman in her 50 ties, has dies this week- according to the news. )It’s a good break so staff can have summer vacation. It’s needed. Though inpatients does not seem to slow down. Surgeries are ramping up, maybe some catch up to do.
We are enjoying it as long as it lasts. Many NovaScotians probably think that that was it with Covid. Since we never had it really badly, that’s an easy conclusion.

The chaos and frustration that has ensued because of the focus on critical items ...

I was chastised for missing a Echocardiogram test (although I was not notified) that resulted in an emergency appointment that seemed unnecessary given my improvement since reduction of a BP medication that may not even have been justified. There were other spinoffs as well.

One has to question what is going on in all this chaos ...

Those with trends towards avarice must be frustrated as well as they see control slipping ... and consequently thoughts depart! You can see ignition in some areas ...

BC said some increase in infections is expected as things open up. I trust the process more there knowing they are opening more methodically and have plans to respond to the situation. Alberta's plan of going completely back to normal and of having a stampede is a big concern for me. Stay well.

Yeah and it blames the opposition for making the pandemic political.

Is anyone surprised? And this is the summer when there's some natural reduced levels of spread. If the province doesn't step in, this fall will not be good IMO. Even if hospitalizations stay ok, I think public health groups do need to look into long term issues too, those can be problematic for the healthcare system as well.
Again not seeing this as all or nothing, we need to look at all aspects of people's health. With the vaccines we shouldn't need to have the measures we had for the 3rd wave, but I think there's things that can be done to limit spread while being low impact on interfering with the economy and socialization. Today my Internist had his mask under his chin the entire time, I suspect he wears it for unvaccinated or incredibly frail patients.

Is BC doing much more than AB now? I was surprised how quickly they dropped the masking rules too.
I took a look at their numbers, I think things are on a similar trend there, masking was dropped sooner here so my guess is we're a little further ahead, shift us back in time a bit and things would line up is my guess.
I do think BC may step in a bit faster at least if the trend continues. Kenney is going to be extremely resistant to that.

BC is at least still recommending masks. They were very reluctant to mandate masks and only did so when the numbers started going out of control. I'm hoping they're right when they say they can track down and isolate cases now. Of course. Time will tell.

They are still recommended here too, although messaging has been a little mixed.
Chemguy is planning to drop them at work with the rest of them. Considering the numbers and vaccination levels there I think that should be ok. Most common age group falls within Gen X/Xenials, so age shouldn't be diminishing effects. Indoor shopping we will mask and will be avoiding going in come the fall when I expect things to get worse.

From this angle it looks like the message is to go back to normal. Thankfully when we were going through AB it looked like most were being smart.
Depends on who you listen to. If it's a guy from Ontario driving a blue truck for publicity who has been confused between influenza and coronavirus a few times through the pandemic, sure, it may sound like this is over but even he has chosen to have legal restrictions in place.

If actually listening to those who are knowledgeable including the person who signs off on the laws? Caution is encouraged.

I have been trying to convince my son, who has needle phobia. But now, his GF had her second dose and felt bad for 24 hours, she is now saying that she wouldn’t have gotten it if she had known. She still doesn’t feel 100%.
I said- you now have a bit of an idea what it would be like to actually get Covid- just 10 times stronger and for two weeks or for months. She didn’t get it. With her not on the vaccination side, there is no chance that he will be getting a shot. Both of them have no paid sick time. I tried to argue they need to think about how they are going to pay their bills, because they btw. he will be getting it and then likely she will be having to isolate. Thus four weeks of no pay.
One thing I noticed about the vaccine was that I barely felt it. Quite different from tests that require drawing blood.

There are those that vacate the concept of vaccination and thus the formation of air spots!

Psyche bubbles ... fermenting emotional content ... far from the settled essence of spirit! It went down ...

71 cases have been traced to the Stampede. That's thought as being low and successful.
Considering the people who would go to such an event right now I suspect there are others who are sick and wouldn't bother being tested.

Not sure where else we would consider an outbreak of 71, with a fairly low number of participants being tested to be low.
