We can all play the "I'm the noblest Roman of them all" but it's time for some honesty......
Quarantining is the right precaution when it comes to a "new" dangerous virus.
BUT!
We live in the real world. I'm now retired - yet if I'm feeling a little unwell I'll still keep up most of my engagements. I won't mix with anyone who I know is frail or has health problems -but I'll still go to the supermarket, chemist, Post Office, etc.
But imagine if you are frightened about losing your employment, because you are on a low wage and have bills to pay, a family to support, would you risk losing your valuable job when you are still physically capable of working?
I live in a big city, and I suspect most folks in this city are thinking, " Well, all Aussies who've contracted this virus, none have died and most have recovered, so I think it's reasonable to not risk losing my employment at this stage."
I suspect this scenario isn't confined to Australia -all over the world this is the reality concerning health and government officials........
