Thus the ultimate said: "keep it all intent" ... in the poke as immediate ability to move because of environmental hostility ... said to be characteristic with some wandering mentalists ... thought do drift! Sometimes sitting still is tense ... unless you are dead to materialism!

Maybe why some declare that I am out-of-it and not quite all here ... because of what a share between the abstract and absolute as not ultimate! Change do enter the happenstance ... not censured?

I like the people there but it is close knit so and got the feeling that they are chastising those who stopped going to church there, as I listened. And that makes me feel more awkward to go back. So that’s what I got out of the bible message, too. It made sense. It still makes sense. But I guess there’s a safety in going to church. It’s a bit riskier out in the big bad world, to meet and make friends.

I did learn more of the bible at church but I still think that going to church is less important than just generally connecting with people and trying to do our best where we’re at. I remember a minister saying “Go to where God is already working.” And that could be anywhere and everywhere.

I need a break because I’m starting to fail at being good to people. I get exasperated with some types.
 
I keep thinking about going back to the UU fellowship but, damn it, no updates on their website since February. That includes the monthly newsletter and event list. Not a good sign given how important that newsletter used to be back in the day. Worrying that they may have lost the office manager, who had been around for a long time, certainly since before I left. The recent service topics were rather uninspiring for me, too, very social and "how we behave" topics rather than getting deep and dirty into spiritual topics like I tend to do. There's a place for those but there needs to be a place to look at spirituality as well, which is often the roots that feed and support those.

It's really hard some days.

I used to be part of Alberta Northwest Conference. One of the younger ministers went from Red Deer to Toronto to lead the MCC congregation. He left there after a few years and is now at Canadian Memorial United. On Burrard and West 16th.

OMGWTFBBQ!! The ape went to church!!

Attended Wesley-Knox United, one that I have been to many times before. First time in person since the pandemic, though. New minister (to me, he's been there a couple years now, I think) and I kind of like the guy. Anyone who can spin a meaningful Christian sermon out of Charlotte's Web has my respect and he mostly stuck the landing. It's a very me thing to do, really (I once used Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for a UU service). Very interactive, using a huge ball of yarn to make a web running through the congregation. Those who know W-K will appreciate that they did manage to include the folks in the balcony (tossed the ball up, then back down). Needless to say, this was a family/children's service. Next week is communion.

A good yarn or story is critical in making connections between dissociated psyches ... mortals tend to interrupt psyches normal activity that is generally unseen by the mortal side ... with lengthy implications!
 
Church was part of the Region AGM this morning. It included the Celebration of Ministry where one Designated Lay Minister was entered, two Diaconal Ministers were commissioned and four Ordained Ministers were ordained. It was a good group.

The AGM gave lots of great material for thought. The Rev Canon Stephanie Spellers was the keynote speaker. Her boss for the past decade or so has been Bishop Michael Curry, the bishop who officiated Megan and Harry's wedding. She spoke about the church cracked open (title of her book) and asked what it would mean if we brought Jesus into the discussion more. Hint, she didn't like the white christo-nationalists in her country. :)
 
Too much blanching of the darker truth ... as it runs and hides in the presence of greater alternates ... passed off as facts?

This is easier than the digs for where truth was covered and buried ... mis translation as it slid aside ... many asides as we come to observe ... and much obscure fate ... boo y 'd ... floaters! Hard to believe a lot that is presented ... and then ... a plume, overshadowing ... manifestations of virtue dispersed ... disposed, and prodigal ...

Such complexity forces the simple to initiate the thought things as a flying Gob ... knows Shiite ... Shy alloying (sh'-ite)! Sound it out ... phonetics! (Twain)
 
What a beautiful 100th anniversary celebration we had today…joining 6 churches. I was in a combined choir where so many voices are better than mine (thank goodness!). So much hope, joy and a little nostalgia. If you want to see it YouTube has it under Willowgrove United Church in Sault Ste. Marie. It will eventually be on United in the Soo on Facebook too. As a member of a small church, it was pretty neat to participate with such a large group.
 
Wordy churches go against the entire concept of God being the word, etc. and folk not wanting to associate with the dead!

Then rises the comprehension of dead languages, etc. We avoid them like a hole in the mud ...

I'm told some go to church for the bread, whine and Mus IHC .... hummers! The populace didn't intend to learn anything ... by rites!

Imagine what can sink in over several lifetimes ... even Mark Twain allowed for a forensic investigating ... a large factor of mortals cannot abide with that ... like Trump and his un a' Bode ...

This past Sunday was our Pride service. It was very upbeat and everyone was encouraged to wear bright colourful clothing. We had a 'guest' speaker who is our Children & Youth leader. He and his family have been here since he was quite small. I've know him since then. When he was 5 years old, he asked his parents if he could collect Canadian Tire money to buy toys for children that wouldn't get any for Christmas. Our church supports the local Community Care so a tin was put out to collect the money. I forget what was raised that first year but he brought the toys he purchased one Sunday before Christmas. From then on, each December he would collect Canadian Tire money to buy toys. The amount of money and toys increased yearly. He did this until his early teens. He spoke about his experience growing up. He was a shy child and often bullied at school. He also loved Barbie dolls. He said he went to the store with his mom when he was young and picked out the doll he wanted. He said when they got to the cashier, he told her the doll was for his sister. He said even then, he knew he was different and might be judged for who he was. His parents and sister were very supportive of him. At school things were not as good. He was teased and bullied through the years. He told us that going to church really helped him. At church, he felt accepted for who he was. It felt good to be in a place where everyone (adults too) knew him, talked to him and listened to him. It was a safe place to be. When he began high school, covid shut everything down. For him it was a good thing. His family moved to a new place and when he went back to in person school, he was accepted for who he was. He came out and made friends. He went to college and was hired by the church. He had most of us in tears by the end of his talk. Everyone stood and clapped for him. It broke my heart to hear how this gentle, kind person had been treated by others because of who he was. I thought of all the other people who have had it so much worse throughout their lives. I told his parents after the service that the standing ovation and clapping was for them too. They love him for who he is. They have encouraged him throughout his life to be the kind, caring person he is. Their family is a wonderful example of what our church is about. I think it gave everyone a lift to know that even though we aren't perfect, we are doing some things right.
 
Given the propensity for corruption in mortal systems ... what more should we expect out of the greatest accrued ra*elites?

Elite learning processes that do not stick! Thus anything can happen supporting freed will ... and stuff flies like there is no bottom TU Ide ... (Einstein on abstract dimensions).

They wouldn't believe it even if it manifested ... to do, te dum, tedious? Work away at it ... no end to it, but, alas there is only so much that 1 can do ... and we are not allowed to gather ... thus it just won't come together ... scatter effect ... Onan? Thus owned up ... sucked in?

In this dimension you expected something to make sense ... with great Will out front? Consequence ... unseen!
