My pharmacist gave me the best needle, Didn't hurt and wasn't red.

He hasn't given shots in a long time so he did good
 
I have given IM shots to my horse.It's not my favourite activity. Kudos to you and chemguy for mastering IVs.
I was teasing a dad of one of my students and telling him to use his powers for good not evil (he was giving daughter IV antibiotics). He told me when I arrived for my home visit that my comment had greatly encouraged him. He figured if drug users could do this then so could he.

Mastered some days. It's funny how easy it is sometimes and difficult others.
 
Seelerman and I get our flu shots at the pharmasy. Mine never bothers me; his always hurts for a day or two later, and often he feels feverish and out of sorts for awhile.

Yobo used to get one every year when she was a PSW. Not sure if she'll go for one now that she's back to being a florist.
 
We'll get ours soon, likely at the pharmacy. My guy is still recovering from a day procedure he had on Thursday, so I think it's best to wait until we have the all-clear from the surgeon before putting anything else into his body!
 
We got ours at the pharmacist. Arm was a bit sore, not even enough to need meds. Different pharmacist than last year, though same pharmacy. Need to make sure we get this one again next year. She's better at giving shots.
 
Got an email to participate in a survey. Some questions about marketing of an attack drug that would be subcutaneous. Hoping this will be available quickly!

As for the vaccines, it was newish for pharmacists here too probably 2010 or 2011? They can only do the influenza one for people older than 9, not sure about the others. As for training, I think doing the actual injection is fairly easy, it's the other responsibilities with that that would require some more care. I doubt the pain after is related to the skill of the person giving it. It's more so how your immune system reacts. A saline injection would not cause both arms and my neck to ache horribly, the flu vaccines did. During - maybe - distracting a kid would be a big one. Getting an icepack ASAP was also beneficial for me.
 
I checked, they started here 2009 but due to swine flu things were quite disorganized that year and it was mostly clinics. The availability of flu vaccines has improved greatly, even without an unusual strain going around for so long no one seemed to know when they would get it and which groups would get it first.

Now there are signs well in advance and most pharmacies have it at the same time as any of the public flu clinics. I think there are some people who get it earlier due to their job, but it seems to be kept fairly quiet.

I'm glad it's improved so much, it was quite chaotic before.

I wwaited three weeks (or so) between my shingles shot and my flu shot. Just a precaution.

One hundred years ago ... medical schools were un-licensed ... and thus considered cwack pots ... leaky dogmas as doctrine? They could never cover or coven ante the infinite if you don't know the starting point ... and if you don't know the source ... should you know where you are going in a rush? Stop and know ... learn something ...

The stuff the limited mortal doesn't know ... leaves m-EIS in a state of chaos as the surrounding affects me ...
 
Most doctors are advising it for those of us who had chickenpox as kids. Not sure if there is an age factor or not but I am in the target group.
 
Careful PD3 ... someone will take a shot at yah ... it is common in the competitive domain ... the co operative domain is a thinner slice ... sort of ethereal ... like a voice out of a dark place?

Could spark an owl though!
