I'm not aware of any abandonment. All of Jenner's biological children are grown and Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce) seems to have been fully engaged as a parent and the Kardashian kids are all grown but one and I don't see any indication that Caitlyn is abandoning her. Where is the abandonment.?

Some are claiming that Bruce abandoned his role as the children's father by becoming Caitlyn. That's the only charge of abandonment I'm aware of. I'm not a fan of the Jenner/Kardashians, and only ever watched, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" a couple of times when there was nothing better on TV. At least on the TV show, Bruce now Caitlyn seemed to me to be the more stable of the two parents.

Because what we are seeing is the real-time nonsimultaneous decentralized expression of global humanity's (not as one unified whole, but as what it is -- groups of unique individuals who follow behaviours and groupings) opinions & thoughts & ideas...there are no gatekeepers of opinion anymore...and the old gatekeepers (the media, magazines, etc) who used to exist for a time now are scrambling to remain relevant & keep up by finding a more limited and smaller audience & catering to them...we're edging back into polytheism & the ancient psychedelik worldview, where the boundary between the inner world & the outer world is a matter of perception & where the both reflect & influence each other, pushing away the modern materialistic viewpoint of the inner world being somehow less important and 'real' than the outer world?

Bruce Jenner, as a transgender woman could parlay his transition into a half-billion dollar fortune within a decade, experts predict.

Jenner’s net worth is already estimated to be $100 million. But experts familiar with the earning potential of media figures told the New York Daily News that the former gold medal Olympian and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star could be worth as much as $500 million in the next five to ten years.

“She could become the wealthiest of them all,” VH1’s The Gossip Table host Rob Shuter told the paper, referring to the rest of the Kardashian family. “If Bruce Jenner made $100 million in 65 years, if all the stars align, she could be worth over $500 million in the next five to 10 years.

Is this a hint at literary criticism as under genteel social rules cynics are put down along with visionaries, prophets and conscience ... usually broad based as the good whoa-m'n ... Psyche? Many don not believe in such bottom line soul as an ideal of emotions drive them to do as they wish without data concerning restrictions! They would Don such fabrics and thus the soul of the fabric is clear ... tendency towards ... unseen (particularly by those with there head in the clouds and have no sense of the sacred nature of literary de vice-NG!

How long would MPs have to perform to make up that integral leading to a great pension ... and a lot of elevator-þ'ithchi-in about it is not fair at the topical end of the echoe numb-ic curve ... can you imagine? Leaves a po' sole like me hoofing it in the dark side ... I just don't now about these wild demands, desires and wishes fo'moor!
 
Fantastic interview, @RitaTG . This is exactly the kind of good I hope to come out of Caitlyn's story: an opening for the conversation about TG issues and needs to make it into the mainstream.

I note your mentions of Chaz Bono and Lana Wachowski. Those ones kind of went off the radar fairly quickly (In Wachowski's case partly because she's a writer-director so not out in public as much. I, for one, would not know her to see her either pre- or post- transition.). With the continuing celebrity racket around her children and step-children inevitably drawing attention to her, Caitlyn may be able to stay on that radar longer.

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about here RitaTG. I tried to give an honest summary of what I've been reading from various evangelical blogs and zines.

she just is expressing a different pov -- she has a different Belief System than you, that's all -- and when viewing outside a BS, things are bizarre, even ridiculous

(UnDefinitive has issues with capitalism & money, similar to how you have issues with private pizza parlours not selling pizza at a same-sex wedding--she's also a human being going through problems that you have no clue aboot -- just like you or me and anyone else)

if you find someone's words to be othering you, remember my advice: you are generating the feelings & thoughts, you have sole responsibility for them, so you get to choose how to handle it -- cutting off that which makes you feel uncomfortable can work -- i do it -- there have been times when i've put someone on /ignore for a bit :3

one thing i get from UnDefinitive's post is that Caitlyn, a unique person who automatically doesn't share any identity with anyone else, is being made into a celebrity for her becoming Caitlyn -- celebrities tend to have more status than the rest of us, the same for those with more money -- i think its cool -- these people who are promoting Caitlyn are serving to help normalize, in the same way that homosexuals are becoming mainstream...

thank goodness we live in a country that still, mostly, respects people's ideas and worldviews & BS and tries not to make laws against them or allow other people to make laws against them...vive humanity!

Rita - I've never heard expressed before your ideas on the NWOA and the LGBT community. From whence did they spring?

@RitaTG - I believe that you are correct - the image of the transgendered will change. However, I feel that you are kidding yourself if you think most people spend a great deal of time sitting around coffee shoppes and the like talking about transgendered people.
