It was one of those open car carriers and was loaded with new pick up trucks . It ended up in the ditch on its side in the ditch. Oops

Good morning! The weekend approaches! Rainy here in this area, but above freezing. Alas, that will not last, next week it gets chilly again. Such is February and March, I suppose. Anyway, we gather again to join in conversation, support, connection and in drinking tea and coffee. This morning the Wonderbakery has provided doughnut holes (akin to Timbits) in several varieties to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the goodies are tasty. Good morning! Happy Saturday! The week to come in this area promises to be colder, windier, and more rainy/snowy than the last few days. However Spring is coming! This won't last forever! We gather once more round the Coffee Cart, for chat, support, and connection, as well as for tea, coffee, and baked goodies. Today, the Wonderbakery has whipped up a nice assortment of butter tarts, with and without raisins, for us to enjoy. The tea water is ready, coffee is freshbrewed, and tarts are nice and warm. Mmmm....butter tarts. Yum. Tomorrow my youngest grandson is being baptized at the little country church where my husband and I were married. My son chooses to go there rather than my church, which has a Sunday School. Out of 6 grandsons, only 3 will have been baptized. But I don't think that is unusual. I had a really hard time finding a baptism card....I guess they aren't in high demand these days!

Thanks for the invitation! I'll just grab that cinnamon bun with the extra sticky bottom if no one objects. I LOVE that flavour filled sweetnes so rarely indulge in it.

Got the cleaning done so just lounging at my keyboard for a bit before I exercise. Had some snow overnight and this morning but not a lot. Winter is back in action.

I am quite glad that there are no pigs in the Room , though piglets are really cute. But considering all the Wonderfood, it would still be unhygienic.
After three weeks of battling this cold? RSV? Or what ever it was, and with antibiotics and steroid nose spray, I can now finally get back to work and I am hearing again on my left ear. ( I was back after week 1, but that was too early).
Just in time for driving home this pm in a blizzard, supposed to start at noon. Schools are already canceled.

This Monday morning, we remember those stranded in Mexico by the violence going on there, and remember those, Canadians and Americans, who get to face the coming blizzard. Stay safe and warm, please! What a f***ing shitshow that is. I have not been back to Mexico save for the odd cruise port stop in a while. And I know someone who got back from Puerto Vallarta just before all hell broke loose. At this point, I do have a port stop in Ensenada on my next cruise but it seems to be well away from the current troubles and I can always just stay on the ship.

I was in a meeting with colleagues in Nfld. today. They got buried again. One guy was home with his kids because his wife is away and the schools closed. His daughter even put in a guest appearance.
