Plus whatever things and events happen today will continue the conversations as we drink tea and coffee (and hot chocolate!) and prtake of fruit turnovers from our Baker. Tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, turnovers are warm and at their flakey best. All is ready, everybody is welcome! Come join the fun!

Mmmm, turnovers. My dad used to bring them home when he had meetings in the regional office for Union Gas when I was a teenager. Think it was from a good bakery in Waterloo.

Sometimes rouladen would also arrive from breslau...

And all that in a depth of nuts ... accrued ... and authorities despise it when the populace gathers ... there be consequence of reduced and redacted thought ...

It is said that even opposing powers hate dissention ... thus emotional intelligence blows up! It lonely just won't get the clue ... it is a sign, icon, or Semite ... your pick! Expect someone to disagree because of an old law about not everyone will be pleased ... sad song will ensue between the lines ...

There are cartoons in the NY'r about drawing lines on medium ... then not everyone read the NY'r ... some are dispersed in the LAN ... a local thing called Vern ocular ... parralel to OHC m'n ... which is a word of awe ... when you don't know how to speak of it ... it being unspeakable or ineffable ... in avarice folk may claim anon of this thing ... and thus onanism ... the reversal of possession? Imagine the buts in the market ... R'cis in grasp that great dark papal sea, with irregularities?

With a twist of the tongue it becomes uns crewed ... and going the other way ... word is a delicate concern, bother, worry or Ani in classic tongues unbeaten! It is that fringe character like BPD! It looks in an this invertebrate ... drifting about as animal ... animated! With motivation ... screw-jack as helical ...

It base in that Sheldon as a cooper ... and barrels enter the irony ... a type of dark humor ...

Want a reaction? Blow a mind ...

Where does intelligence go when overcome by emotional uprisings?

Would the draught resulting appear like an air going down a rabbit hole or other bore ... nothing but ole ... vast vacancy?

Could this feed an underground pyre ... lord e, lord Dee! Is only someone knew the difference between right and the other ...

Is the other like a flaming idiom with a clue and thus flighty word? Wonder how it appears from a far away vision and not right on top of the heat ... caldron?

Three driveways done and helped out a kid with a nearby heavy windrow who was shoveling for profit.
One neighbour asked if I had cleared their driveway. I said it wasn't me. She gets on the phone with her husband trying to figure out who cleared their driveway. They're Italian, so it's an animated conversation.

I had to fess up. But it was fun for a minute or two. Worth.

I reminded her again to only believe half of what I say.

Back in the smoking section for me.

Also, in the snowball fight with my son after the snow was cleared, and he helped a lot for a 10-year-old, his best throw hit me in the side of the head.

I may, may have shouted in the middle of our street, "You're a terrible son and I never loved you!"

Zach laughed his ass off.

Smouldering string like fuses?

Good morning! Friday is here, the weekend is nigh. Cleaning driveways, snowball fights, and all the other joys of winter are on the chat list this morning. As we settle in at the Coffee Cart, we have date squares, and a variety of other squares, to enjoy, courtesy of the Wonderbaker. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the squares are wunderbar! All is ready, everybody is welcome! Come in and join the festivities!

More lake-effect snow on its way today and on the weekend. 20 to 30 cm is predicted. @chansen —-you need to move north!
I'm kinda stuck here. Northern Ontario has a vibrant racing scene and we send teams north every winter for races, but I've never raced above North Bay, and that was a long time ago.

Besides, I'm not even a racer or even a race coach anymore. What the hell is ski cross? Nobody even knows it's a sport. They assume I mean cross country. If God wanted us to climb on skis, he wouldn't have given us ski lifts.

In other news, Canada's India Sherret was injured at a ski cross event in Val Thorens, France earlier today.

As sports go, it's not exactly the safest. I'm taking an online course now about safety in the sport, but when the jumps are that big, there is only so much you can do to prevent injury.

Ah, so the kind of sport where I get the willies just watching and would probably have a heart attack even in a simulator. Gotcha.

Did not get much more snow after I shoveled yesterday morning and it's been cold but snowless so far today. Apparently, we might get rain in a week but we shall see when we get there.

We are into a soft kickoff for the big project at work. 18-24 months from now, we should have our dream electronic health record and billing system. Assuming it all goes according to plan. My confidence is improving but I have my doubts still. We'll see what happens.

SK has an electronic system. I can't access my health record because the system says it doesn't recognise me. The registration page was definitely not ' impaired vision friendly.' No doubt I inadvertantly clicked in the wrong teensy spot!. When they rolled this system out they really should have had people available to assist those with disabilites. or technology challenges.

Teenage me would have loved the sport. It came too late for me, but I do appreciate it. It's just a lot of work to set up a course. Weeks with snow guns and groomers, days with rakes and shovels, and sooo much fencing. It's way better being an athlete than a coach in this one. At least I'm not operations staff. Those guys have it worse. Coaches do a lot of the fencing, but the heavy work is on ops.

Still can't understand why my cautious daughter was drawn to it.

LOL. Ontario isn't there yet. Our local hospitals finally have a portal for access to our records but there's not single EHR. The EHR I am referring to is the internal record our staff keep for our patients. Eventually, we might integrate with a provincial system but first they need to give us something to integrate with.:cautious: At least they are building a provincial electronic referral system so we might be able to get rid of fax by the time I retire (most of our referrals still come by phone and fax).:sneaky:

NS has the fourth day of no school because of messy/ snowy/ icy roads. Usually, there might be one if at all. The ski hill is open now as well which is early, and had a good amount of real snow.

The snow here has stopped at present, but it's deep already. My David Austin rose, which is not a climber, but quite a tall rose, is almost buried. I think I've almost finished decorating my Xmas tree; maybe a few more tin icicles. To my great delight, this morning I unearthed a little sweater ornament that Northwind made me years ago.

Thinking of you Jayne. Not a fun way to spend an evening, but glad that we have the health services that we do compared to others in the world. Thinking of the many people in the U.S. about to lose their health care.
