Also, this just in... Poilievre didn't even win his own seat
And neither did Singh...he is stepping down as soon as the NDP find a new leader. Also, this just in... Poilievre didn't even win his own seat
But May is once again Green leader and once again the sole Green in the House. Five elections for her now. One wonders how much longer she'll keep it up, though. She's 71 this year.
Which gives her no speaking time, and no ability to get anything done. The people in her riding sure wasted their voteBut May is once again Green leader and once again the sole Green in the House. Five elections for her now. One wonders how much longer she'll keep it up, though. She's 71 this year.

I don't know, she's been a pretty active public figure even without official party status. Just means she has to work harder at it. She's probably as well known as Singh ever was prior to his deal with the devil (which is likely part of what killed the NDP but that's history now). And May will be in good company given the NDP is also no longer an official party.Which gives her no speaking time, and no ability to get anything done. He can stay on as leader and try for a seat in a byelection but I believe the Conservative caucus has the final say. They can vote to turf him. That's just my recollection, though. Haven't checked into their rules.I haven’t read all the posts this morning. Maybe this was answered - what happens now that PP lost his seat, as leader?

She raises issues and fights for them regardless. She was the only leader to acknowledge the UN’s harsh warnings about bad disability policy in Canada, including track 2 MAiD and she will keep at it. She was instrumental in garnering bipartisan support for the Canada Disability benefit. Those are recent things.Uh huh. And the rules of Parliament are the rules of Parliament
