Agree with you on that one, Mendalla. Down with all the ismsRight, but some people seem to always ascribe whining to women and when a woman is being assertive, the "b" word gets used. Sexism is not yet dead, unfortunately.

Yeah. That’s a better way to be - peacemaker. But someone like Trump - who has a narcissistic disorder - just sees that quality as a weakness. So then people have to try to get inside his head to match him. How unpleasant. It would not be a fun job to be a world leader right now. Especially if you’re not insane.I like Singh. I've been disappointed in him lately. I wish he'd take a stronger stand. I suspect he's more of a mediator/peace maker and that it's difficult for him to do that. He has had lots of practice standing up to bullies in his life. I wish he would do that better now.
I read Germany just took a right turn with their recent election, though? I’d be careful of what they say, and what they actually do.I'm glad more leaders are speaking out against the US president. The new German chancellor spoke out well. France's Macron called the felon out to his face. Europe is working to strengthen its position and to be less dependent on the US. I hope Canada works to find allies too. Maybe we can be an alliance with Europe somehow.
Turning to the right =/= turning to the extreme rightI read Germany just took a right turn with their recent election, though? I’d be careful of what they say, and what they actually do.

Isn’t it a coalition govt with more right as well as far right members now? The overt fascists have more seats than before, no? Maybe @Mrs.Anteater can tell us?It is the moderate right and not the extreme right Vance and Musk supported. Of course, reserving judgment is good. Perhaps I'm just glad the overtly fascist party didn't win.
YepRight, but some people seem to always ascribe whining to women and when a woman is being assertive, the "b" word gets used. Sexism is not yet dead, unfortunately.
Yes, the fascist AFD party has doubled their presence and got 20% of the votes, however, the conservative party has more- but not enough to govern by themselves, meaning they have to build a coalition and the only option is with the social democrats. The AFD party got even more votes in the East German provinces, which historically had certain corners with increased Alt-Nazism anyway, but also considering the youngest East German history with being used to a totalitarian government and being disadvantaged after the reunion for many years.Isn’t it a coalition govt with more right as well as far right members now? Edit: this is actually a good explanation (I think?). The coalition could go several ways. It hasn’t been picked by the winner yet. I’m not too familiar with their electoral system.

Germany has voted. But what kind of government will it have?

The Deity Media must be fedAnd the Hungarian dictator Victor Orban , who is Trumps buddy, and role model, has congratulated not the winning CDU party, but the AFD.
They were speaking against common enemies rather than being enemies.
