Humans and critters tend towards opposite gen relationships, IN GENERAL In canines and felines of my acquaintance, cross-gender bonds tend to be stronger. Lucy loves me for food and protection, but she adores her an appropriately alpha man. OTOH, new kitty downstairs, a lady, has never been outside and has never known any other gender than female, so she naturally trusts women, it appears.
 
Just pondering the lapse of time since the original WC got up and running. I took a deep dive into the (very truncated) archived site.

In one of those strange coincidences, as follows,

Cat came to us from a foster from a no-kill rescue shelter. Important to that only is that the foster is the mother of an old friend of mine who shared a mutual friend (we all worked at the same college) who was beloved by many. Many of you will remember the death of my dear friend Jessie some years ago.

So, cat's name is, apparently, Jessica. However, boarder, who is quite taking to cat, which is great, spontaneously decides to shorten her name to "Jessie".

Pretty a domestic shorthair, 8 years old, affectionate, green eyes, colouring odd, described as "faded calico"...

I think I joined about the same time ninj. Can't remember exactly when but wondercafe was pretty new. This was my first experience on an online forum. Lots of learning here. I connected with lots of good folks and had tons of fun.
 
Good mo0rning! As we discuss dark chocolate's dangers, continue to think of Seeler and her family, remember the original WC, and the people there, and the reasons why we signed up, and as we welcome those who have ben absent for a time, let us rejoice in memories and find hope and support for the now and not-yet. let us gather round the Coffee Cart, settle into the comfy furniture and cushions, and continue to remember and hope. All is ready, I think I can smell a fresh batch of cinnamon buns, too. Oh yes, Happy Valentines Day to those who celebrate it.

Birds of a feather in a connecting linguistic that few understand ... it seems mankind's biggest offense is understanding laws that are separate from them.

Consider the item (as fact) that Pence is fighting a summons on the basis of power separation ... a well-churched man believes that his church is beyond whatever comes up ... there a foundation is laid; heaven on one side and all those commonly excluded can go to hell!

I've been told that ... while the accusers seem to miss that we are on the wrong side of that rotating door that can be approached from either side ... simulating St Peters item of concern ... gated intellect? There the great wills shut down all thoughts ...

Its just normal in the great divine spot ... undefined or as yet anonymous and isolated ... pithy as the stuff between ears ...

Remembering old stuff ... inclusive of all that is concocted from the heavens as fallout and fallacy of the stars ... and how far to the stars extend?

Only as far as we can see and this is restricted and limited as mortals have been assigned until they learn something of far out enigmas ... fee noire? Twas and twill be a mystery until we surge out as part of big Sur ... I fell a rise coming ... as the east isolates itself and the west approaches anonymity so as the be grated against the oriented ... who respect old stuff ... they know how it goes unless tending towards the west ... thus 24 points to the compass and one dashed out as time ends at th international date line ...

Authority of psyche say all must be in the form of story, etc. before laid out afore the mortal parts ... and psyche is said to be timeless as the dt's ... unless f(x)'d ... thus f(x) dt as a function of time unravelling ... its a matt's thing as hewn out of dark domains ... it is a deep item of concern ... I've mentioned ANis before ... take care of the mules and donkeys amongst the privileged ... those eclectic in the edifice ... Eyre's carriers ...
 
You can never have too many cinnamon buns. Well, unless you're the rest of my family, who hate cinnamon for some reason. :oops:

Still sunny but chilly here. Not complaining. I'll take the sun.

Getting winter tires on the new car today. Was debating whether to bother with winter half over but I do have a winter tire discount on my insurance so am supposed to have them and there is snow in the forecast here.
