What is the nature of virtue? Face it it is an essence that is not with us ... there are legends about where it went in a twist of fate and faith! Twisted??? Thus warped times and wrinkles ...

On that kind of item I am dismissed ... the nature of lie is much preferred! It is polity ... the proper thing to succeed!

The Munich Octoberfest ended two weeks ago. Now Munich has a Covid wave causing it’s hospitals to cancel planned operations because of the rise in Covid admissions and the sickness/ shortness of staff.
In Germany, physician associations are calling for mandatory masking again indoors and in public transportation ( actually, it still is mandatory in in public transportation, but hardly anybody does it.
To visit in hospitals and nursing homes, one still has to show proof of a negative test and wear a mask. I think this is a smart idea it would prevent the spread in hospitals.

I once did a Sunday service on the question of "Who Cares" the response was expected ... very little but an order to never do a message in the congregation again ... it incarnated as if out of order for institutionalized order bout/bote asking questions about the eternal thing. Thus we arrive there dead to eit ... very few scraps of information, data or intelligence not to mention the philosophical part ... the love of knowledge and wisdom departed mysteriously ... covered in myth ... ad logos? That is to say it is beyond ... few observe that far beyond their prized presence! Leaves me feeling hollow as Washington's Horsemen ... once known as Yeoman as they do the circuit! Oman ... that's onus ... culpable? Doesn't such observation trump all as a horn blown ... supports the standing wave!

It bides with me a bit ... whereas it seems to depart elsewhere ... catch it when in the raw ... as that scene in Robin Williams play on word in the Fisherman movie!

In counter to caution ... does this appear as naivete personified as mass stoop Ide? Group hysteria ... as a heh haw event ... have faith odd things will reoccur due to certain losses and departures of sentient! Homo sentient once meaning common feelings or sense ... like John's being screwed out of there head by industrious selling points ... thus the selling of sol ... and 3 points of ellipses pointing to darkness ... incomplete sentience/sentence? The myth continues on the matter of naivete ...

Expect ide to be ignored too ... as popular as misinformation on apocalyptic events ... recycle! Ste Van was perturbed ... with the information to continue on ... the abstract is vast ... yet still black as gamma ... you cannot see it from here and now ... prior escape? Oh oh anon ... it come ... and then it goes ... indeterminate event ...

I was asked to do a Covid test before entering an Ontario retirement home last week...as was anyone going in. Not sure how often the residents/workers have to do this though.

A friend of mine posted pictures of his time at Oktoberfest. I'm not surprised there's an outbreak now.

Further upthread I mentioned that I came down with a sudden severe case of arthritis in my hands. Although I wasn't sure what was causing this severe pain in my hands at the time, after 5 doctors looking at them, each with a different diagnosis from carpel tunnel, to rheumatoid arthritis, injury, etc.....rheumatoid arthritis was the final diagnosis after xrays and blood tests.
Personally I was confused by the sudden abrupt onset......I settled on a "reactive arthritis diagnosis personally" and I felt sure it was caused by a virus because of caring for my daughter at the time. I was in and out of hospitals with her and long waits in emergency.....with a fair chance of exposure to Covid. (plus her C-diff)
Now this is now confirmed to be another Long Covid symptom, which was a suspicion for me all along....Covid can cause psoriasis and arthritis or both.
My arthritis is now less severe and I'm able to cut back on the anti inflammatory drugs plus the pain is less severe. This correlates with a "reactive arthritis" to me personally which usually takes 4 to 8 months to clear up. By the way my doctor rolled her eyes and stated basically, "give it up, you're old and old people get arthritis". Hey I can accept the old part but the sudden onset with no history of arthritis with me or any family member was disturbing to me.

Ouch! Sorry you have this pain to deal with. Doctors don't get things right all the time. Occasionally a patient has a better understanding of how things are playing out. Remarks about having sudden new pain purely because you are older than last week are rarely helpful.

Locally a parent took their child to ER with a variety of bothersome symptoms. Doctor said 'Just a panic attack'. Parent said child had type 1 diabetes and they were concerned. Doctor administered a sedative and said the kid could be taken home. Parent put the kid in the car and went to the next hospital down the highway (about an hour away). Within minutes IV lines were inserted, advice was sought from the city and an ambulance ordered. Yep - the kid's blood sugar was totally out of whack and needed attention from a doctor experienced in childhood diabetes..

Sometimes we do have to go by instincts but leave ourselves open to be wrong too.

Wrongs lead to reworking if it can be raeth unque in essence!

Are wraiths kind of nebulous or just wood nymphs spirits in the trees ... endorphins? Some say epinephrine!

Oh to pine for that high ... works the complexity of the neural-psycho development a stinking construct for those that would rather not know anything ... the urge is gaining ground! Stressing out plays a part at this stage ... and industrial demand!

Oh crap lol

Read all the article if you read it.
When labs do this I want all the regs to be followed. All of them. Personally I know how "leaky" virology labs can be. I have a scientist friend who worked with bats and their viruses and she told me even tho they followed the regs mistakes happened. Escapes happened.

So we should treat this like a nuclear bomb. Very carefully.

I kinda like this new world we are living in, where a lot of things just a decade ago that would be opaque to us is now transparent :3

Like corruption even if powerfully denied?

Indeed.

Original Sin is a helpful frame--we will always miss the mark...Unintended Consequences...and yes, motivated reasoning, incentives etc all influence us

I know the reports of the replication crisis in science papers...and a paper just came oot showing that famous scientists got better scores in peer review than less famous authors...yes, and is the way to go, taking a look at look at how these companies (say Pfizer) do good AND question when shaky practices become visible...

Or like when Peter Doshi, a senior editor at The British Medical Journal, had a senate hearing where among other things he pointed out:

"
See 1 below
"

Then when talking aboot the vaccine trials:

"s."
See 2 below

Yes, And. Vaccines are awesome. And there have been some bad shennagins which we can all be trusted to know aboot and that some agents have tried to hide or intentionally misinform.

I do hope we get through this stage. I do hope. I think the global civ we are going to end up with is something like Cornucopia Communism :3

And so it goes.

I would need to see the information about deaths.
I suspect it is similar to here though, looking at overall numbers, not portions.

Take a population, 10 people who are vaccinated die, 5 people who are unvaccinated die.
Did the vaccine help?
You do not have enough information without knowing how many are actually vaccinated.
Then even with knowing that, did the 2 groups have compared risks before they were vaccinated? People who were already at risk may have been more motivated to get a vaccine. Early vaccine data here really skewed towards higher risk as we started with groups like people in long term care.

"I'm saddened that we are super saturated right now in the attitude of “Everybody knows.”
That has shut down intellectual curiosity. And led to self censorship.
So let me start with a few “Everybody knows” examples that I’m not sure we should be so certain about.
Everybody knows that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. But if hospitalizations and deaths were almost exclusively occurring in the unvaccinated, why would booster shots be necessary?
Or why would the statistics be so different in the UK? Where most COVID hospitalizations and deaths are among the fully vaccinated…?
There’s a disconnect there. There’s something to be curious about. There’s something not adding up."

2:"
Then there’s this. Everybody knows that Covid vaccines save lives. In fact, we‘ve known this from early 2021. The clinical trials proved that to be the case, as you can see here in the quote of a Feb article in the Journal of the American Medical Association. But is it true?

Today we have more data, and you can see that there were similar number of deaths in the vaccine and placebo groups.

The trials did not show a reduction in death, even for Covid deaths, as opposed to other causes… My point is not that I know what the vaccine can and cannot do.

My point is that those who claim the trials showed the vaccines were highly effective in saving lives were wrong.

The trials did not demonstrate this."

A video of his has been shared before, full of misinformation. Don't really care to watch more of his stuff.
Now I am trying to understand you here

What do you mean by that? Asides from the dont care to watch any more of his stuff bit, which is alright--we dont have to watcg everyone or everything--our time is a limited resource :3

I think that the point that chemgal is making is that she has discarded this particular source as being not credible. But I'm sure she'll elucidate if that isn't the case.

And I think that "intellectual curiousity" is just fine, but needs to be taken with a grain of salt when you consider each individual's personal academic background. For instance, when analyzing scientific facts of certain types, I'd certainly trust Chemgal's opinions over mine (a B.A. in English might qualify me as bright enough, but no indicator of scientific facility).

Ty
I am asking her, not anyone else :3
I am not assuming as much as possible, thank you :3
