The screenshot is hard on my eyes (I have been having enough issues with my vision as it is). Do you have a specific question? If it's about data I would need to see more information.
I have followed the AB data for a while, and the vaccines do seem to be rather effective for reducing hospitalizations and deaths.
Unfortunately less data is being presented now. Hospitalizations have been doing up. In some areas of the provinces wastewater is showing an upward trend for COVID, but in my area it hasn't been a big increased compared relative to the last 4ish months.
I think it's likely there are 2 reasons, different variants and protection from the vaccines is wearing off.

Boosters were showing to be really useful when Omicron BA.1 showed up. Boosters were being encouraged strongly, not just because of the protection that was wearing down a bit but also because primary series + booster seemed ideal for Omicron BA.1
With what's circulating right now, I do think the updated boosters will be helpful as they give both the protection from the booster similar to what we did previously, plus they are a better match. As circulating variants shift with time it's with hindsight we see with real world data which ended up working the best at the time. When Health Canada choose to approve the 2 updated boosters, they did so with trial data. For now, I trust they that are making the best decision with the information at hand.
 
When I come across crazy stuff like this, I research the people involved and find the original data. So far the people involved are not credible and the information has been misinterpreted or altered.
 
I remember from school that any test studies have to have a certain amount of participants in order to be valid. ( there was some kind of math formula to figure out validity). My common sense tells me that 32 participants is not a large enough number to make any useful conclusions.

Your eyes are picking out numbers I cannot right now. Agreed on that being too small. I'm confident their clinical trials were larger than tha, so something is being misrepresented.

Can a homo sapient grasp the concept that he doesn't know everything because of common failures of Joes and Johns in fear of the the fey part; djinns appearing as blue because of misogyny ... thus considerable misanthropy as reaction to the former activity ... thus the essence of thought cannot be retained due to the gift of raging emotions ... somethings appearing as a rant (needing balance) ... and the scales were trashed ... such generates mental cases that are denied in reality! Thus farce Ide virtue ... arms length slinger? It totals chaos --- Niche! (on matter all would like to hide, bury, make sacred/hidden cites). All good for not knowing ... thus we don't ... the psyche is a alien field of evaluation (etude)? That's a question posed as a statement of ... God knows what! We don't ... a paradox of man-gods or other insane ideals?

All is beyond us ... due to large gone ads ... characterized lies ... and they call me odd for askance ...

Looking at historical charts for Europe from Ourworldindata site, Germany's uptick in cases is different than last Oktoberfest?

I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
 
Pfizer's bivalent booster will be available here starting on Monday. Not that anyone from the government has tried to make people aware :cautious:
One of the good things about an updated Pfizer vaccine is 12+ can get it. At least in Alberta the Moderna BA.1 bivalent is only for adults.

My local hospital and doctors' office have waiting area chairs 'separated'. I went to the next hospital down the highway and discovered a tiny waiting area with chairs packed in. It had walls on three sides too. I mentioned that I noticed that difference and was told that the staff had discussed it fully. Without the packed in chairs patients would be standing along a well travelled hallway. As this was an area frequented by patients requiring X ray and CT scan attention this wasn't kind.
Following 'guidelines' sometimes gives difficulties in real life.
 
Health care just doesn't fit well with economic trimming ... thus many points are cut off ... makes a well rounded Dark Moan ... as ong ...
 
Just got a reminder from the province to book my fifth shot. I understood it to be due in December. Not sure if something has changed or if they are just giving me lots of notice.
 
I was expecting my fifth shot to be due around now. When I got the notice last week it said I was eligible a month ago. I'm guessing the invite waited until flu shots were available because my invite included both vaccines. I've kind of given up keeping track. I take it a day at a time.
 
Yes the notice also encouraged me to get the flu shot. I am reluctant when it comes to the flu shot. The last one I received made me throw up and get a bad headache approximately 8 hours later.
 
An article about whether Covid rapid tests are still good at detecting the new sub variants. Of course the newest subvariants like XBB and BQ1 that are now starting to circulate in Asia and Europe are not as easily detectable and resistant to vaccines altogether so far.
