Is excess death due to over production of naivete?

Isn't that a bit dense and dull other than market creationism?

Even medical staff are no longer fully informed because of protocol about specialists limits ... leads to mortality!

I support wider perspective in each field as they grow but I was rejected on that ... too expansive for the administrators grasp ...

In this case it looks like the excess deaths are not due to the virus
And that seems to be really all we know atm?

I have been following this guy on and off. He does these really good "weather reports" on covid...and he gives actual refs and data...I see even OurWorldinData is keeping track of excess deaths...


So has anyone heard more aboot this?


What are all of the hypotheses? And have they been tested?


I would think in our current world something like this would be seriously investigated?

Anyway for your perusual. If you are interested. Again, dont explore if your life is busy and stressed oot enough as it is lol

Yes, there can be a huge difference between ‘data’ and ‘random videos.’ You may remember that lesson from that video of the alleged insurrection that wasn’t an insurrection, in his ‘May 2020’ Insurrection’ thread.

Yes, what a term: “excess death”. What does it mean? People who were completely healthy dying ? Oeople who were not healthy but frail dying earlier that what they would have without catching covid?
And what about “ excess disease” for all those who survived covid but continue to suffer from symptoms for months or years after.
Did we have “ excess humans”, who we statistically don’t really care if they die of covid or the flu or monkey pocks or whatever?
 
A video is something you can see may need some curiosity regarding its virtue! If one is not blind to the larger aspects ... empathy appears to be larger than sympathy ... simple symbiotic ... thus gaps form between the data/information and what was wished ... and desire can create terrible barriers ... sometimes known through endogeneity in essence ... a spirit of balance?

The urge to win and control for corruptive power may get the entire thing out of balance ... avarice descending? That's fallacy or so it appears in a place where logic is dropped ... Logos as down it floats ... fundamentals? They may be subtle and humble pickings ...

Is excess dis ease a stress related function like chronic forms in continuum ... if there is no relief for the pressure imposed to produce more and more ... mistaken mores? In some texts CSD is included in RA Syndrome but a faction doesn't believe it as it does get the rich-quick method going ... it can be mentally crippling! Thus wobbly psyches ... ripples in time ... much empty space that is not understood!

It's an epidemiologic term I think. This is how I understand it - Aggregate data is reviewed - ie in this case, historically from non-COVID times to ascertain usual population rates of death. Then this is compared with population rates of death during the times of COVID. The difference is 'excess' which possibly may be attributed to COVID. Of course there's tons of epidemiological calculating that goes into it. That's my somewhat simplistic understanding of it. No doubt scientists among us will add some further thoughts.
 
Then the report of the god of what escaped as a Lord of fey character ... or that of Flies as fleeced ... as going round and round ...

WE may be the bugs in the system ...

You explained it well. There are certainly other factors to consider with interpreting that data. Ie. Higher rate of overdoses, deaths due to missed treatment, Covid being a factor but not the direct cause, like it aggravation existing conditions.

@Mrthe s on the end of death changes the meaning of the term somewhat.
 
So, really, Ontario is now handling C-19 like any other respiratory virus. If you're sick, stay home until you're better and wear a mask if you do go out. But it's all advice. There's no mandatory isolation anymore, just a request to follow basic precautions. Which we should when sick anyhow but I still wonder how this all plays out if there's a more serious variant in the next wave. Can we put the genie back in the bottle, so to speak.

They are just doing what's already happened with other provinces. It's been that way here for a while, some healthcare facility rules were the last to be dropped and that was done a while ago.

I don't really think it's a great plan but it only does so much when one province is doing things and other are not.

Right now what I would like to see is some legal backing to individualized plans. Ie. A clinic has a do not come here with COVID policy due to their risk assessment for their facility there should be legal backing. Ditto for private businesses. Some places are still takeout only due to health issues that employees have.

Ontario's Chief Medical Officer said some kind of long COVID strategy is coming but given the current administration, who knows what it will look like.
 
We are expected to wear masks at medical facilities. Some people wear them at stores etc. My little grandude got Covid at school where no one is masked anymore. So far he isn't dreadfully ill.

Nothing is out for clear view ... especially powerful items laid out in season ... aD anđe? Thus phoebe and other fears ...

It is an alien sense ... poly misunderstood! Goober ...
 
I had a mild case, but I suspect now I might have long Covid. :( My first symptom was a sore neck. In retrospect it was a weird ache that came out of nowhere, mid-day. Also, sore muscles in hips, butt, lower back, legs. I had been exercising on a machine recommended by a physio - I gave it a break and a couple of days later is around when I got sick with typical cold like symptoms. At least those pains were attributable to something like overworked muscles.

But in the past few days I’ve been having all those same aches and pains - not attributable to anything - well, CP complicates it but this is more pain from less exertion - and for the past week I’ve been getting so fatigued after barely exerting myself doing anything. Meeting a friend for coffee today feels like too much to contemplate. It takes mental energy and I’m zapped.
