33 in East Hawkesbury yesterday. Already 20 here this morning.
We're only hitting high 20s here in the Southwest. Sounds like Eastern Ontario is getting the brunt of the heat for once. Still only in the teens here right now.

Good morning! How's things? My wife got the deck boxes all nicely fixed up so she can put annuals in this week and the bloody squirrels have already made a mess rooting around in them. I had take all the dirt out of one last week to repair the box and didn't find any buried food so not sure what they are looking for.

Mowed the lawn and got some other yard work done yesterday. Now that the risk of showers seems to have been pushed off into tomorrow, might try a bike ride today, though I am a bit stiff and achy right now.

You just know there has to be something under al that nice dirt!

We had a light shower in the night, then it started pouring while I was in church this morning. We are supposed to have a break of about two hours this afternoon from the rain, a time for me to plant like crazy.

It's an extraordinarily pleasant 25 degrees here, and sunny, and most of the trees are in almost full leaf, suddenly, so there's shade for walking. And shade on my roof, so my house is pleasant.

We went for a walk/hike along the Thames. Part of the time we were on the Thames Valley Parkway, which is a paved multi-use path, and part was on a narrow, packed earth hiking trail that runs closer to the bank. Lots of shade on the part that runs through the woods near the university. Another, newer part, runs mostly through meadows so is sunny.

The flowering trees around here are in full bloom now, including my crabapple.

Good morning! Monday has happened. As we look back on a weekend full of weather, and discuss yardwork (in part to counteract the squirrels' landscaping efforts), let us gather round the coffee cart, for hot beverages and community. All is ready.

Sounds like dip loam a Sea while other just immediately struggle for possession of material not theirs in the beginning ... leaving nothing but thought! Some folks don't believe thought exists ... thus the abstract ... dark and mysterious question for where such items of nonexistence go ...

Down the pits ...???? Recently it was reported that old pits were discovered in the UK Midlands ... mediums? These appear as holes ... dip pies?

Thus great voids under us ... deportations of support ... like plebeian losses to partition nos ... partisans? They say some Romans were Patrice-like ... and they went ... often without a clue ... yet there were queues ... the stuff people will form lines for ... fore Sue ... under powers? Under such conditions things can be expanded ... without logic! Love is similar to that ...

Imagine ... an abstract of drifting essence ... fuzz, froth, or other nebulous observation? Tread lightly .. as there is not much tuit ... vacuous circles ... Zero Sum ... and they are gone ...

My bleeding heart is in an awkward spot to see from the house so I'm not sure if they are visiting it or not. I do see them out back when I'm working on deck later in the summer after Mrs. M gets some flowers out in the deck boxes.

Good morning. We were going to go for a walk at a local railway trestle today. We've changed that to a local waterfall because it's overcast.

Showers this morning but it seems to have eased off now and we're even seeing the sun break through at times. Needed the rain so I'm not complaining. Temperature has fallen so those storms last night must have been from an incoming front. That's fine. It was on the edge of my comfort zone yesterday and if the humidity had been higher, might have tipped it over.

I need to visit a waterfall. Haven't been to one in a while. Maybe Webster's in Hamilton or something. One that's a good size but not too big. I've kind soured on Niagara. I heard from someone on another site that there's some nice ones in upstate Michigan. Should try a vacation there someday, I guess.

There is supposed to be a nice waterfall on the SE side of Algonquin Park -- never made it there while we were at Deep River. The waterfalls west of Thunder Bay are pretty nice -- we camped thereabout three or four times on various cross country treks. I believe there are one or more waterfalls on the Madawaska River.

You're very lucky to have chanced upon Wisakedjak?

A bit of a trickster (he caused Noah's Flood/the Younger Dryas) he is friendly to humans
and is here by God's decree to protect us

I hear he plays a mean fiddle :3
