Covid 19 Vaccine

I am getting the morning newsletter from New York Times right now (long story) and they had a good piece. Alas, I am not sure I can link to it (the email has the full text of the piece, not a link) but the general thrust was that even if these vaccines vary in their efficacy at preventing infection, they do all significantly reduce severity and therefore hospitalizations and deaths. They will likely not eliminate COVID, but they will reduce it to a level where we can live with it as we do influenza and such. That's assuming enough people get the shot, of course.

AstraZeneca vaccine is showing that it is effective in reducing transmission of virus:

What's the difference between this vaccine and the Pfizer and Moderna?

-AstroZeneca is not a mRna vaccine like Pfizers and Moderna; it is a viral vector vaccine
-It doesn't have to be kept frozen and it can be kept in a regular fridge for 6 months
-AstraZeneca has pledged it will cost only dollars per dose and will be sold without making a profit.
-It is cheaper to make
-Pfizer vaccine is $18-19 per dose
-Moderna's is up to $37

What is a Virus Vector Vaccine?

Britain has approve this vaccine, Canada as of yet has not.

today’s editorial.

i know I have been harping on at what the liberal government is not doing. Or has not done properly. here Is the Globes assessment. Too little. Too late to help this year

to be vaccinated by the end of September , which is trudeaus promise, we need to do 300,000 a day. Not a chance

Thus displaced conspiracies to be short about it ... to be expected given what we really know about the radicals on top ... leave am'on sub dude ...

Alas saying that is also discouraged as it makes the oligarchic look bad ...

Which way to turn? We are generally in the stage of unknowing ... and thus IT goes ... even Bill Gates says we've lost control of IT ... as an emotional turbulence ... ... solution? Keep Kohl ... with de Kracken in the deeps ov*iđ ... divine fracture?

What is interesting, is that on Facebook, I have seen a call for a non-confidence vote from strong Conservatives engaged in party politics.
They have been sharing material that is well done, and also is targeted well for this time -- ie vaccine arrival were slowed down.

I am curious, if others are also seeing that type of material coming out?

Not yet, but I don’t use face book so miss that sort of thing

checking our county plan at least gave me the confidence that once we get vaccines our county has things well organized. One thing they didn’t address is what if all the Toronto weekenders try to get vaccinated here because it’s easier. And they aren’t counted in our numbers of residents. But I hope there will be some sort of drivers license check for addresss. I want the weekenders to be vaccinated but we have a lot of marginal groups in Grey Bruce county. A lot of indigenous, Mennonite, and under served towns. They are already listed as priority groups in our county

FB??? Is it the father of farce ... given how people tell of daily constitutionals and when they have sex ... things that really don't concern those beyond their immediate interest!

People ask me why I insert ridiculous comments. I say we are told we should conform ... thus the trend towards idi*m and OT progress a self limiting ... like a cultivated garden reaching maturity in the fall! Part of the Allah gory?

Often the cultivated human responses appear well ... kind 've hollow! Iconic voids ...

Why does the government‘s advisors not advise Trudeau to have a press conference and say

we have made some mistakes. We are proud of doing A and B and C. But we have fallen short in getting vaccines. And we apologize to the country. We are working hard to solve this problem and are trying to get vaccines. We are embarrassed to be at the bottom of the list of countries vaccinating and solving this problem. We ar working on this as fast as we can.......

it would make a difference

instead they keep saying that all is well don’t worry. We are still getting the pitiful amount we said. So don’t worry

Could it be naivete in the environment (surroundings) of what we know about leaders? Then is this corrupted by oligarchy and well greased hans?

I am pleased to see that the Trudeau government is being challenged in their incredibly poor handling of this.
and I honestly laugh when they keep reassuring the public that all is com8g as expected. What was expected was laughable to start with

and how atrocious that Canada, a G7 country , is taking vaccines from a process seat up to assist poorer countries.

If I was going to change anything about our provincial/federal division of powers, it would be to make Universal Healthcare (and including Pharmacare and Dental Care) a federal responsibility. I don't think the Canada Health Act is strong enough.

I'm thinking of the U.K. model here, where there's plenty of administrative differences between Scotland and Wales, for instance. But they share a common NHS.

Of cours Trudeau , in his very transparent way, is keeping all the info private. They screwed up and can’t let anyone know

I believe a Commons committee could still subpoena the documents and study them, just would have to be in camera. I'm sure the opposition parties are weighing their options.

And the alternate party would reflect on it how? The same way as nothing differential is allowed ... other than to split the essence ... fear and anger are thus dispossessed to either side of the medium ... a previously thought but denied by great power!

Some sage said the power is corrupting ... yet knowledge thereof is denied ... to preserve the present state of ... unknown?

Learning, change and evolution of word is thus unobserved by many ... affliction of the demos by the ruling mob ... anything else is considered as thin as a vale or someplace for thoughts to dwell! Mental constructs? They don't exist ... supporting negative concerns about existentialism ... toss that as a mis sal 'đ ... stuff over the shoulder? The non existent con science ... pro science being the view from outside!

In short in a world of denial ... who would know anything? May be evidence for a parallel universe ... where dispositioned thoughts and wisdom reside in quiet rest ... LAN of dreams? Expect a sense of detachment ...

The problem now is that any attempt by the Feds to pull powers into Ottawa is going to be seen as a "power grab" unless something else gets traded down. The last chance we had to change the distribution of powers and responsibilities was probably the 1982 talks and Trudeau Pere and Chretien largely chose not to fight that battle. Now, any discussion on the subject is likely going to focus on devolving more down to the provinces, territories, and indigenous nations, not uploading to the Feds.

In my perfect world, health and education (all levels) would be Federal or at least have strong national standards in some kind of multilateral agreement among governments. Canada Health Act was actually a good start, but it is not enough. And one of the reasons we keep lagging other countries in education is that many of them have education as a national responsibility so don't have the patchwork of curricula and standards that we do.

Pro and con federalism as we can't get it together in a balanced way without fishiness ... human flaw? Perhaps an OBI cognizance ... out there?
