TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

It's been known for quite some time that he associated with Epstein, as did other famous debutantes, celebrities and political figures. He denies any wrong doing, but acknowledged publicly that Epstein liked young girls. Meanwhile, the whole Epstein case has focused on Bill Clinton, who also knew Epstein but denies wrongdoing. Frankly, given that Billl Clinton had an affair (abused his power) with an intern not much older than some of these girls were, my suspicion is that Bill is guilty of something - but nobody but Prince Andrew seems to be in any trouble over their involvement with Epstein.

There are a whole bunch of reasons why Trump shouldn't be president - and reasons why he is afraid not to be. His list of crimes and potential crimes is mounting. I think he's afraid he might have to putt golf balls in a prison cell for awhile - if that's allowed in prison.

If he came to Canada I don't think he'd be absolved of standing trial if he was required to. In that case, he probably isn't looking to come here.

Another instance of Trump talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Remember he had encouraged people to vote twice, by mail and in person. Probably in the hope that he can double the votes for himself.

Appalling for both the villainous abuse of children itself and the chilling implications of government by blackmail, this tangled web of unsavory alliances casts a lurid light on the political history of the United States from the Prohibition Era right up to the present day and the Age of Trump, a fact made increasingly clear as more and more information comes to light in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The Epstein scandal is a criminal and unconscionable blackmail operation that has been run by influential figures, hidden in plain sight, for over half a century, exploiting and destroying the lives of untold numbers of children in the process. Over the years, it has grown many branches and spread well beyond the United States, as seen by the activity of Covenant House in Latin America and Epstein’s own international effort to recruit more girls to be abused and exploited.

All of this has taken place with the full knowledge and blessing of top figures in the world of “philanthropy” and in the U.S. government and intelligence communities, with great influence over several presidential administrations, particularly since the rise of Ronald Reagan and continuing through to Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, the whole Epstein case has focused on Bill Clinton, who also knew Epstein but denies wrongdoing.
The whole Epstein case? ... aside from memes and MSM talking points ... there is actually some good research and real investigative journalism available but an attention span of more than 30 seconds might be required ... if anyone really wants to know about it the journalist below is a good source.

I am simply, intellectually, frankly completely bemused that this is the best candidate for POTUS that one of the two major U.S. political parties, specifically, the "conservative wing"; normally known for a commitment to values like business and personal integrity, can manage to vomit up.
Chris Hedges: ‘I Won’t Vote For Biden. He Helped Vomit Up Trump’

Journalist Chris Hedges explains why he won’t for Joe Biden, even though Trump will be worse: “I haven’t voted Democrat since 2000. I spent months of my life in Gaza. I’m not voting for anybody who arms and funds the apartheid state of Israel. I’ve taught in the prisons for ten years and I have very close relationships with my students and their families.”

Historian to Biden Fans: ‘Instead of Vote shaming, Explain How Libs & Neocons Created Trump’

Historian Gerald Horne responds to Chris Hedges’ (personal) argument against voting for Biden by saying that if Leftists want to make the case for Biden they should do it in a way that provides a historical and political explanation and shows how liberals, Necons and Democratic Elites created the perilous moment at which we find ourselves. Or people are going to be really confused. Dr. Horne also warns against the rise and rehabilitation of the Neocons.

Dr. Horne holds the Moores Professorship of History and African American Studies at The University of Houston. He has written over three dozen books, the most recent of which is The Dawning of the Apocalypse: The Roots of Slavery, White Supremacy, Settler Colonialism, and Capitalism in the Long Sixteenth Century.

In all the reporting about the Epstein case there was far more attention paid to Bill Clinton than to Trump. Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew. The latter, from what I've read, which is a fair amount but not extensive - has had the most attention paid to his alleged crimes so far. He pretty much got disowned from the Royal Family Firm. I haven't followed up to see if he's facing charges.

I watched the Netflix documentary about Epstein and it is sickening that so many rich and famous people hung around with him - and that he (and Maxwell) got away with it for so long. And when he was convicted the first time he got a light sentence - weekend trips to jail and allowed to go to his office, etc. It wasn't hard time. (And I believe, on his second conviction, that once he realized he was going to be doing a lot of hard time, he did commit suicide. I don't think anyone had a hand in that. He fell from billionaire "socialite" to being in prison with a very bleak future.) He killed himself. Maxwell went on the lamb. And now Trump is saying he might need to leave the country if he loses the election.

And it was one of Trump's people (Alex Acosta, former Secretary of Labour) who was, at that time, the lawyer who negotiated the plea deal for Epstein the first time.

What I think is, that Trump likes red herrings. And that started with Alex Jones and pizza gate. Got people roped into believing there was a Hillary Clinton/ John Podesta orchestrated pedophile ring going on in a pizza parlour. The made up story was a substitute for the real story - which is how con artists operate. And Alex Jones was actively spreading all kinds of misinformation to Trump supporters and potential Trump supporters for years. So much so that an armed man believed it enough to storm the pizza parlour armed - to discover there was nothing going on there. I think Jones is the seed of Qanon. Jones isn't Q necessarily but I think Qanon as an idea was spawned by what Jones did - and it is a cult orchestrated to help Trump. That is an outgrowth of Alex Jones. And it's a big effort to take the heat off of Trump's own crimes and misdeeds - including the Epstein association, which was a real thing he didn't want his supporters looking too closely at him for. Enter Qanon claiming that there's a liberal cabal of Satanist baby eating pedophiles - instead of looking closer at what Trump was doing while hanging out with Epstein. See the con?

The unknown is very concerning ... and yet there is a large force proposing privatization of bureaucracy!

Tis sacred ... knowing ... thus the thought feited ... while deserving query!

We have an extradition treaty with the US which they are currently using to try to get Huawei executive Meng Wangzhou. They could us it to get Trump if he fled here, too. More likely, he would have to go someplace like Russia that doesn't have an extradition treaty. Maybe he can hang out with Edward Snowden.:nerd:

Wouldn’t that just be the best! He could build a golf course on the Black Sea. Good riddance

but let’s not get cocky. Millions of people love him. It’s hard to understand. but he is adored

Millions of people love him.
Millions of people loved Eddie Van Halen. Did that qualify him to run a country? Trump's success really opens up some very old, but very serious, questions about democracy as a system. Can we really trust the people to make the right choices?

The fact is, there are many Amercians far more qualified than Trump to be in the White House who aren't even in politics because they don't want to pander to the lowest common denominator to get votes. Intellectual honesty doesn't matter in their, or our, system. As long as the people like you (or don't hate you in some really sad cases), you're in.

Our boy is a classic example. Trudeau did not win on any kind of qualification for the job, he won because people liked him and hated Harper. Half his cabinet are probably better qualified to be PM than the PM himself.

Fast forwarding to his colossal defeat to Biden, what will Trump do then? He has "joked" about leaving the country if he loses (he'll need to dodge alot of charges), but where will he go? I thought Eastern Europe maybe -- Melania's home; but they have already vandalized a statue of her there.
Who wants him?

What is the division line between deception and denial for blind people of faith?

Is it red like the line outlining genius and insanity?

The other question if he goes tolive somewhere else could be the same as it was for Megan and Harry- who pays for his security?

Technically, ex-Presidents still get Secret Service protection (though I think someone, maybe Nixon, waved it and hired private security). Of course, if the ex-President is outside the country, that raises jurisdiction issues. Imagine if the Secret Service guys actually took an action like shooting someone. Not all countries would necessarily even let them carry.

I'm sure Snowden hangs with a different crowd. (Well, maybe.)

Maybe his fans would pass the hat to pay for his security if he tells them to, but they will beg him to stay.

We have to. Dictators and autocrats are people, too, and we know they make bad choices - possibly good for them, but bad for their country and the world. Ones that affect a whole lot of people who have no say. What "we" need (and the US, as is becoming apparent) is far stronger checks and balances on corrupt leaders, and more efficient mechanisms for turfing them out if they are being corrupt. There needs to be more, better, ways of firing a corrupt leader mid-term.

And I would say, better public/ civic education to ensure a more informed electorate - and some safeguards against the influence of money in the media to buy people's perceptions. Stronger focus on journalistic integrity and ethics.
