It's not quite to that point here. I'm in a grey zone, so confused. We're not down to essential-only - yet. Dermatology itself wasn't ordered to urgent only. Bloodwork, I'm between routine screening and urgent need. I trust my hematologist and he was comfortable ordering the yearly stuff - HIV and Hep B are the big ones for that. Imaging is especially confusing, people don't usually get MRIs for no good reason.

I'm still a bit shocked, we went from a gathering of 50 to be legal this morning to limiting medical stuff. While the city had banned things like tattoos already, it was only with the announcement this afternoon that the province did it.
Here, I'm pretty sure the dentistry would go forward for something like your tooth as long as a hospital bed wasn't needed.

Ontario really went to blocking a lot fast, here everything felt fairly incremental until today.
 
Here, we have dentists on-call for emergencies still. Hope you get some relief!

My 86-year old mom is still coughing due to a sinus infection. Her antibiotic is finished, and she feels some better, but not completely. I call her every day, and yesterday, I called my daughter-in-law, who is a doctor, for advice. She gave good advice and I feel better about some of the things we've been trying to get Mom to do. She listens to doctors more than to me, so I think we've made progress!

A new topic: My son went to a mining site yesterday for a short-term job (he's a geologist) only to discover that the place is infested with Covid. (Something they didn't tell him. And the Covid is only suspected because doctors wouldn't test). He came home right away and is now quarantined for two weeks. It was a shock to him, because, around here everyone is so careful. This is an 8-hour drive away from here, and in more-northern Ontario.

A coaster, perhaps?

When I was out for my walk yesterday, I saw a cat sitting completely still in a window. I had to look twice to see that it was real and not a statue. Turns out it was watching a bird in a tree.
 
With the creation of the mug rugs, maybe some mugs and cups would be nice to set upon them. Got it covered. The coffee cart is up. Have a muffin too.

I have a couple knitted and crocheted throws that I magically made up from my stash. I hope they are comfort if you need it. Maybe others knitters/crocheters have one to contribute. Maybe even a quilter?

I imagine there are many full-time workers who cannot afford food and shelter if they go without wages for a month or two.

Many of these workers happen to be the grocery store clerks, sanitation workers, and delivery men and women we are all relying on right now.

A deep irony of our 'economy' has been that the 'workers who work the most in the hardest jobs earn the lowest salaries'.

The growing wealth of the 1 percent has come at the expense of the involuntary sacrifice of their workers.

These so-called 'low skilled' employees are now the 'main essential workers' in the 'true economy'.

This stressing and straining will be an even greater tragedy if we do not use it as a wake-up call to address 'all ongoing epidemics'.

I will raise a toast to using this time to consider what kind of world we want to emerge into.
 
Got my results today from my other doctor, I wonder about the delay on that, it's slow. One last aspect to be concerned about now at least.
