I do remember many decades ago a doc commenting that using all the tech to investigate is sometimes not a great thing - when we go looking, we find 'stuff' that's 'not normal' - but was not problematic for the individual until 'discovered' on the scans/tests etc. I think there is some wisdom in that. I believe we all have lots of stuff that's not quite 'normal' but we have managed to adapt & live functionally nevertheless. It's a bit of the same as a line from that movie I saw recently "The Farewell" when someone comments that in China people don't die of cancer, they die of fear once they know they have cancer, hence a practice of concealment of diagnosis.
And hey ChemGal - if any of us compared ourselves to "baseline" from the 20s - well, I can't imagine any of us would really fare well!
I do love Bette's comment about being a 'shiny unicorn' tho! Love unicorns!!
