Dishwasher almost finished, Kitchen and dining room floor washed. Whew. That should be enough housework for awhile! My fist cousin and her husband were here Thurs. night and will be back Sun. They are from ONT and attending a family (his side) wedding in the Rockies. Glad to have a quick visit.

I woke up early today and my nose found a book. The book is good and is restorative.

Today is a no meds day and I already feel better. I go for an MRI this afternoon. It will be nice to see what it says when I see the oncologist on Tuesday. I realized I'm halfway through chemo. Part of me wants to get going on this next three months. I'm enjoying the break though.....

We're having dinner with my sister today. She's in town for a photography workshop. We'll go to a pub that's right near this park.

Looks like another chill day in my schedule. Maybe I'll do some stuff around here tomorrow. Mañana

Busy day for me today. Yesterday, I made two lasagnes (a vegetarian gluten free one and a 'regular' meat one) and two pans of rhubarb crisp (one gluten free) and delivered them to the church. Today I worked (in the grocery store) from 11-4, then headed straight to the church to finish preparing, serving, participating in, then cleaning up after, the "confirmands family dinner" for the three young women who will be confirmed tomorrow. I am a bit tired...

Spent most of today in the garden, despite the gray skies and cool windy weather. Dinner at friend's home tonight - surprise 40th anniversary celebration which was lovely. Home now. Soon off to sleep. More rain this evening ... sigh. Sure doesn't feel like June.

Was pretty hot here, although not record setting or anything. All the stuff in my garden is up. I now have all the plants I planned on, but hubby bought some new deck pots (the 'railing' on our deck is a full width piece of wood, so many don't work) that were on sale. I doubt we'll use them all this year - I have 3 rectangular ones I already use for herbs. I wouldn't mind getting a variety of herbs though, probably from a big chain where i't possible to get a multi-sale as all of the greenhouses we've been too are selling them for ~$4 each. Don't mind it for stuff that's a bit different, but for standard oregano, parsley, thyme, etc. I don't want to pay that much.
2 cucamelons (I really need to get on my seeds earlier when starting them indoors!) and some type of lavendar plant that looked a bit different are waiting to be transplanted.

I no longer have tomatoes in little starter pots :) I planted what I needed already, including replacing one that snapped, gave all the extras away today :)

It’s been hot here. It cooled off on Thursday but got hot again. I sat for about 15 min in direct sunlight in the mid afternoon the other day (Wed I think it was) and got a sunburn on my forearms and the back of my neck/ edges of my shoulders. The arm burn has faded into a slight tan, but I can still feel the burn a bit on the back of my neck. I bought sunscreen the following day (didn’t have any except a low spf in some of my “BB Cream” make-up, which is tinted)....a day too late, but I’m using it now.

:)

There is some kind of moisturizer/ oil in my body wash that lingers after rinsing, and I think that accelerated the sunburn...or maybe in a hair product also, as per my neck and shoulders.

:)

Good morning, all. Happy Fathers' Day to those who celebrate such things. Happy Trinity Sunday to those who mark it. Right now let us remember the trinity of pot, mug and beverage as we join in warming beverages.

How appropriate to have Trinity Sunday and Father's Day coincide. After all the former is about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We celebrated the latter with lunch out yesterday.

Good morning one and all. Happy Father's Day.
It's almost summer. For the last three days my calendar shows that the sun rose shortly after 5:30 Atlantic daylight Time and said just after 9:15 ADT, giving us over 15 hours of sunlight. I say sunlight rather than sunshine because many days we have clouds or drizzle between periods of sunshine. But today is going to be bright and sunny with a high of 23, perfect for worship and a picnic in the park(our Sunday school closing). Always something to look forward to.
I'm wondering what time the sunrises and sets in your part of the country.
