Antihistamines can make me drowsy and restless at the same time. I took half a reactine (got a free sample in the mail) after a spider bite - and it did nothing) and I will take Benadryl (we are out right now) if I get stung by a wasp again (still haven't got an epipen after last year's ER bee sting visit) but I generally put up with itchy eyes (Visine for itchy eyes sometimes) and bit of a runny nose and some sneezing.

Epipen being the strongest antidote for severe allergic reactions - I got a shot from the medics - made me very restless and anxious! It was very uncomfortable. Basically a panic attack that I was told would happen and I had to ride it out. But it may have saved my life. I didn't sleep too well that night, as I recall.

Hold it, is this what you're going to:

If so, have a blast. Tripp's talked about it a bit on Homebrewed Christianity and it sounds like a great event.
Yep that's the one. Is smaller than I anticipated -about 30 in the class and7online.l came the furthest a man from Samoa anEnglsh woman 3 Canadians and the rest from theUSA. Onlinewe have an Austrian and a Kenyan. So far very stimulating. (Can't use this damn smart phone! (

If you're using the complete, taking that earlier in the day might mean a better sleep! That has pseudoephidrine too. Stick to the antihistamine only before bed. Or maybe it just doesn't interfere with your sleep?
I know for me it isn't a huge effect sleeping-wise but still enough where I stick to decongestants day only most of the time.

I can sleep fine with this. I'm not going anywhere to get anything. Being congested and coughing was a bigger interference.

The small group should make it easier to have Q&A and discussion, I guess. This is the sort of thing I might look at doing after retirement.

Got my grass cut tonight. Chatted with the neighbors. Heard a great, if scary, story from one. Bedtime looms.

Guess it's my turn to put out the beverage cart. Coffee is made, kettle is ready and I've already made a pot of orange pekoe. A light continental breakfast of muffins, danishes, and other pastries awaits those needing a carb fix.

They are forecasting 5 days of sun and mid-twenties temperatures for London over the weekend. I'll believe it when I see it given the past few weeks.

Thank you kindly your Royal Daemoness......I'm going for one of those buttery, flaky croissants, and a little cherry jam....and tea this morning since I've already had my one coffee today. Yup. After tomorrow, I think it's straight sunshine---low 20,s--until next week.

Is there anything on that cart that will help soothe a cough and congestion? I think I'll have to go back to the hospital. my temperature is elevated. :(

I have some David's organic Cold 911 around. It's an herbal tea that is supposed to be good for colds. Forget what's in it without checking. I will steep a cup for you.

Yeah, the antihistamines are different than the decongestants, I can't think of a decongestant that helps with sleep.
Some antihistamines are also used as sleep aids. Some are non-drowsy but don't really perk people up the way something like pseudoephidrine will.

Visine isn't a good one for itchy eyes, it tends to cause rebound issues unless you're using just the tears or they have better options that they used to. The ones with cromolyn sodium are the best OTC. I get prescription ones for spring now.

Epinephrine will certainly get one restless - go get an epi-pen! Benadryl really shouldn't be used for an anaphylactic reaction at home (although I've done it).

I am getting treated well at the hospital. I've been poked and prodded. They took more blood and the neutrophils are okay. That's the main concern. They did chest x-ray to make sure there isn't pneumonia developing. I'm getting IV fluids. I do feel better with the fluids in me. Hopefully I won't be here much longer.

Fluids are integral in the concept of dew'd ...

Good morning, all! Coffee cart is functioning once again, with warm beverages for all. Enjoy.
Thanks to Mandella for supplying it yesterday.

I had to make my own tea this morning since I couldn't access the cart. Now that I'm back, I think I'll have a cup of an herbal tea. This ginger tea will do the trick.

I'm feeling better today and feel like I'm healing. My temp is back in the normal range. My taste buds are closer to normal too, so food is more appetizing. There's hope.
