Can you imagine having a dragon that's not housebroken?

Flash ignitions? Could be a metaphor of the overly excitable ...

At one time the Old Dragon was confined ... still appears if you ponder the image of the dragon as archaic wisdom ... then compare it with the present milieu we're in ... a stunned environment?

Milieu is said to be a surrounding by determinate definition ... just another "word"!

Are words proliferate ... abstract going on ... something to get onto before its too late ... that's my myth ... myrrh with a silent cross'n?

With critical consideration of the wealthy elite ... will heads role ... CBC Nous recently ... more and more elite escape taxations How? Go figure ...

Does Nous exist? Tis on a break ... vast avoi dance ...

Thanks for the congrats friends, but actually things are not going well. For the last few days it is not responding. I get a message at the top of the page: ‘Dragon’s microphone is off; you can press its hotkey or click its icon to turn it on.’

I don’t even know what its hotkey is. I presume its icon is the little picture of a microphone on the dragon bar. According to the tutorial I worked through on my first day it should be red for off, green for on. Right now it is blue and says ‘listening’ but if it is listening it is not responding. Press it and it is still blue but says ‘sleeping’.

So I just try pushing buttons on the keyboard or using the mouse to try different things on the screen. I’m probably messing it up completely.

This morning, even though it still gave the message at the top of the page, it did respond to my voice and printed a two sentence reply to a post on WC2. A lot more mistakes than in my posts a few days ago but at least something. Now when I try to reply to a different post – nothing.

Seelerboy set it up for me, but he’s gone back to Korea.

Where can I get help? To whom do I turn. (Prayer doesn’t seem to help. I’ve used some religious words )

We bought Dragon on line so we can’t go back to the store and ask the sales staff.
Google can be really helpful. If you pick the video option some good youtube tutorials can come up to.
Or you can just ask here and one of us can check, like what Mendalla found for you :)

I love google - I ask it some questions that seem weird - and it always come up with an answer!

I wonder if there is a setting that controls the time until the dragon goes to sleep again? Perhaps this time can be lengthened?

Makes me think of the book "Sleeping Dragons All Around" by Sharee Fitch that my kids loved - here's a photo of one of the culprits ...

I think that I still have a lot of questions. Rather than derail this thread I will start a new thread in social. I hope that you will be patient with me in answering my questions I seem to get very confused at times.

Sleeping dragons.....
After two friends of mine passed away this year, I decided to do stuff while I still can and convinced myself that I can, and bought myself a kayak. Now that ays are less humid, I finally could take it out over the weekend ( named it “ Dragon Fly”, because they tend to rest on it. Had three amazing trips the past three days. Took me an hour to learn to strap it on the rack ( finally googled it- turned out it was much easier than what I was doing). This morning, woke up at 3.45 am to a beautiful starry night sky and cuddled in my hammock to watch the meteors hit our atmosphere.

Wishing you lots of wonderful trips in your kayak. We, with regret, sold our kayak last year. Aging bodies were unable to get in and out without assistance. This year we purchased a stand up paddleboard - because it looked 'do-able'. Time will tell.

ah my body and soul are sad. With reluctance my son and I moved canoe from van to rack. Much as I'd love to be outside, paddling (kayak, canoe or paddleboard) or biking or walking I am stuck inside. The smoke is strong It's been 10+ but was down to 6 and 7 today. I need a rating of 2 or 3 to be out and about without issues. And so my boats and bikes are idle and I am sad.

We're probably back up to near 10 again too. I feel your pain @Tabitha. I would much rather be sitting outside. Taking the dog for a walk set me off coughing. I'm hiding in A/C. And I'm thankful for the A/C for the record.

It's been a 7 here most of the day. Looks like it's a 6 from the last reading. Might be the best time now to water the garden.

we are back up to 10. The last few years I have felt bad complaining about the smoke as many folks were evacuated and/or lost their homes. This year we have more fires but less houses being burned.

Also this year my lungs are in worse shape. I had a lung infection in June and haven't been perfectly clear since.
