Can't offer anything about the itching, but wishing you well with the radiation treatments. My father in law had radiation treatments. I know they left him feel very tired and sometimes a bit grumpy. If you feel the need you can take it out on me! I won't take it personally!
 
I know what you mean by the smell, it's not actually a scented product though. Maybe check with the clinic about it? It's commonly used for compounded prescriptions, so should be ok. Some things that lack a scent are actually that way because they have something that helps mask and natural odours from the components, and this can actually be more of a problem.

Another moisturizer that's commonly used in compounding is complex 15, although less common. It should be on the shelf near the glaxal base. It's no where near as thick though.

Hydroxyzine really helps me so much with itching - prescription antihistamine. Also used as a sleep aid and anti anxiety med. I don't know if this will work with your medications, but it's worth asking!

ETA - weird I thought I posted this last night but I don't see it. Internet issue maybe.
 
Question, ch, are you reactive to coconut or coconut oil? I make soothing salves, but usually in a coconut oil base.
