Eating vegan when I dine out, eating more vegan than I used to at home.

I am pleased to be presenting to the room a lovely chicken dinner that I have made. All are invited to enjoy. It includes crispy fried chicken, creamy whipped potatoes, corn, and even chocolatey brownies for dessert.

Is that vegan chicken and brownies?

I'm making a recommendation. That if Jae brings food to Room For All, that he can eat it himself.

For myself, I had leftover lamb, rice, veggies (and pie), and picked up ingredients for a beautiful soup tomorrow, which I will share. Roasting bones makes for a much richer broth.
Chemguy and I are trying lamb tomorrow. When in Ontario I was really surprised by the poor quality of beef. Yes, Alberta beef is well known, but I didn't expect to see such a difference regarding availability/quality of something as common as beef across Canada. Ontario does lamb way better though. Here, it's just a little fringe section of a grocery store (and at something like Walmart superstores I doubt they have any other than predone meatballs or something in the frozen section). I found it was much more common in restaurants too. We have never cooked it. So fingers crossed, I found a decent looking Greek recipe (as I want it well done and that's typical for Greek food plus Greek food is delicious!). Our leg of lamb is not bone in, so hopefully a bit of extra attention for when it's ready (plus we have on of those digital meet thermometers where the probe goes in the oven). and it turns out well.

But he has to tell you about that and all the other BS ... that passes ... however some boards get smeared with personal non-sense. Yet few believe it exists ... no matter how you approach it someone will turn it ugly! Usually the roots of the problem anchored in the source ...

Meat is the dead body of someone who wanted to live. Eat vegetables.

With your Kris Pae chicken ... dear lamb of Theo ... representing nothing but ... that's O'z for yah ... a break in the materialistic fiction ... of vegans? In substance ... or insubstantial truth!

I don't think it will hold up or support how it appears ... out there!

It is not.

Is this the stuff of a Lei ... flowering Missed Ruth?

The chicken is browned or brown eye'd ... chock of late ... when you see the hatchet man coming who says heis something else again ... no faith in that as it Leis there in the human pool ... blossoming ...

Virtual food in this room has the advantage that it is virtually calorie free and so chicken can be virtually vegetarian as well.

Meat is the dead body of someone who wanted to live. Eat vegetables.
While stupidity, meaness, provocation as well as empathy and understanding are not changed by the room- but it always gived the option to gracefully ignore.

Eating meat is stupid and mean. The wise choice is to transition to a plant-based diet. Eat vegetables.

Happy Easter everyone! Enjoy the celebration. Enjoy the energy of this special day. In my case, some of the energy will be used up trudging through a lot of newfallen snow. Around here, the Facebook joke is a picture of Santa Claus delivering the Easter eggs. But...the eggs get delivered; the celebration is real.

The O is a hollow shell! If there is something in it you may meet the Hermit Crab ... it has a celestial sign too as something saying it is comforting ... while it really would like to sting ... thus another novel tome!

Then if ordinary people are denied the truth does the story appear to mean something differential? Isn't that deviated ...

Happy Easter Friends! Christ is risen! Rebirth; reborn.

I didn't go to the sunrise service again this year, although at one time it was very meaningful to me. But the location where we meet on the river bank, together with our sister UCC, would make it difficult for me (see my thread 'does everything have to be accesssible to everyone?' in Religion ...). I considered going down to the breakfast at the sister church, but to be honest we overslept. We will be at the 11:00 am service.

Halleluiah! Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, friends! I attended, grumbling about cold and early, our yearly sunrise service on the shores of the bay. The bay is still frozen solid, so the rocks that we fling into the bay to symbolize the release of our burdens skittered on the ice. I always wonder if, a week or down the road, I'll feel a distinct feeling of lightness from my shoulders as my rock finally slips through the ice.

Love the rocks idea Bette. I have done that on the shore of the Bay Chaleur in northern New Brunswick. Blessings.

Happy Easter, all. Here's some virtual chocolate eggs to enjoy. The Easter bunnies in my backyard had leftovers now that there's fewer kids in the neighborhood.;)

Oh, and I have started a thread in Earth & Our World for the meat/vegan discussion. We should move this topic out of the Room. If a mod wants to some of the posts on the topic from here to there, feel free.:)

Thank you Mendalla for creating the new thread. Happy Easter!

It was a cold morning as there was a brisk wind. We were close to the banks of the Grand River. Dawn was breaking as we had communion. The sun rose over the horizon whilst we sang the last hymn "lord of the Dance"

Went to church for fellowship and breakfast after.

Good idea to chuck rocks into a body of water to symbolise losing our burdens. Maybe, if organising an event like this again, someone could light a fire and have everyone chuck on some firewood?!
