Bette, let me put my virtual arms around you as you weep. And tell your stories when and if you are ready -- I'm here to listen.

On my way to the doctor's. Those who pray, please say one for me. Thanks.

Saw my doctor. She spoke with me for a short time and has now sent me to the ER of St. Joseph's Health Center. Yobo is coming here to be with me.

@Bette, sorry to hear of your ex husbands passing. Hopefully you and your children will find comfort in each others arms. Hugs.

Well, a week from now my son & his gf will be back from their 6 week trip to Spain - I'm so looking forward to hearing all their stories!

And I will be starting to pack this weekend for our trip to Saskatchewan :-) One of the highlights will be a get-together with Crazyheart & Naman, and Namana too. So lots going on at the moment!

Jae, I am delighted to hear that you are taking some health anomalies seriously. Many people, especially, and not just as stereotyped, men, ignore warning symptoms to their long-term detriment.

Shared a bit of a story about canoes and my honeymoon on the Last Post Thread. I've wept quite a bit. I am very thankful and blessed that my daughter is close to me at present; makes it much easier.

Thank you Bette :)

Good to hear that your daughter is with you. May you help comfort and care for each other at this time.

Nice memories about the canoe and cabin Bette.

I too had my ex-spouse die.
Who else was there at the births of your children (and in my case for their first years -youngest was 5 oldest 8 when we separated). No one else to remember the wedding and honeymoon, first house etc.
Remember the good, grieve the end of his life. Glad your daughter is with you.

Writing church services, and catching up on the news here. Jae--praying for your health. This is such a supportive community, for which I am grateful. Sometimes, as virtual friends (Seeler's words!), we share things in a different, even deeper way that we do with some of the others in our lives. Sending hugs to all.
