I didn't read this on facebook because I was worried that it was going to be some fancy, sciencey, pages-long paper. But seeing it in this thread... I checked it out. Loved it!

Better than hate. I think the 'like' buttons encourage people to say something stronger when just clicking the button isn't enough

Some phrases don't make sense to me

Like 'negative impact' (that would be some form of negative crater...Dr Thaddeus, have you been fooling with the Negative Zone again?) -- the word that should be used here is effect

OH, yes, Inanna, the old "media threat matrix", courtesy of one of my former employers. It being a public agerncy, the media did indeed get ahold of it and RAN.....
Embarrassment for all, except for those laughing their heads off.

I dislike ":irregardless" and "due to the fact".
And "coo" for "cool" drives me nuts. ("You're not a pigeon!!", I shout to the winds.)

I don't know if this is true. I have a friend who copies her two sister friends. If they say awesome, she says awesome. Is this how it works?

I'm fed up with hearing "Awesome" as a reaction to anything even mildly interesting. Standing in the mountains is awesome. Look out at the stars and galaxies is awesome. Going to a really cool party is ... fun as it might be ... not.
