When are "people" lives not endangered by war plans? Only when the plans are not leaked? IMO they should not be bombing in Yemen at all. Leak or no leak people died in Yemen and they continue to die. They are dying in Israel Gaza Ukraine Russia as well, all in the name of democracy. Not leaking the information does not stop that. So the leak is a good thing. It brings attention to the fact that the bombing was unnecessary in the first place. But that is not what people are wanting to talk about. Bombing people in secret is the order of the day. Exposing those secrets makes the public feel threatened because they don't really want to know how many mistakes are being made in the name of security. So I guess this one is not going away yet. Scapegoats are needed. Perhaps this time the whistle blower will not suffice. We will see.
 
Releasing before the operation would have put his own life, or at least liberty, in danger and likely would have gotten the story killed. Exposing a military operation before it launched would have opened him and his editors to charges of everything from espionage to treason to endangering American lives (that other lives were in danger is irrelevant in the American context, they worry first about "their boys"), some of which are charges that can trigger the death penalty down there. By releasing after, he's more likely to get traction, avoids accusations of aiding the enemy, and is better able to use the "First Amendment" as a shield if they do try to come after him legally.
 
I liked that the journalist released the screenshots after all the participants lied, and after he consulted with lawyers and such. Sadly, nothing will likely happen, though apparently Waltz is being placed into the fall guy position.

This whole incident will have ramifications all around. What a s**t show.

Which is politics as usual, no matter what party is in power and how much Trump might boast about "draining the swamp". Whatever happened to "the buck stops here"? Did Truman even actually live up to that?

Dan you can bet on it ...

We are surrounded by various powers who have been actively trying to manipulate us to see their Truth. State actors. Individuals. Other groups. Even a campaign invented down South of us to get us anxious over misinformation, malinformation, disinformation.

Oh, DL, I know you like harmony over all things.
But in these times, people who live on stirring up conflict need to be called out. I am sorry if they do that because of personal problems , but the why doesn’t really matter- fact is, that because of the internet and the sheer amount of misinformation, their negative influence reaches too far to be just letting it stand alone.
If she was just a miserable neighbour who talks to other neighbours to make them miserable , I wouldn’t care.
Declaring the world to be peace and love doesn’t make it so ( in German, we say “Joy, peace and pancakes”- as the wish of people who want to ignore the actual state of a situation).
As we see south of the border, times require people to take a stand. People spreading lies have to be corrected.

What if it is just because they do not have the features (nature, character) to digest all the ups, downs, right-left's, and back and forth of the wave theory?

Not to mention things of the past and future ... stressing their momentum by impact! The billiard simulation in the tete ... all within the 8 Ba'aL!

Alas, one is not to speak of such things ... because of disgusting roles ...
 
I'm hearing about protests coming this weekend. Don't have deets but a friend on my writing sites is prepping for one in his area (Colorado). He's pretty political and has been lobbying his reps and other officials hard about the DOGE and other issues.

So the stock market is way down, by around 1800 or however many points it is now.
Trump thinks that's great and exactly the path he has to take to "fix" everything.
This was also the path that helped cause the great depression in the 1930's....Tariffs.

Yeah, Trump seems to have missed a few lessons in history class. This has kind of been a concern of mine now that almost all of our leaders are people born after the Depression and WWII. They don't have memories of those events, just history lessons.

If you notice I mentioned it helped create the great depression, not the only cause.
And it was WW2 that changed the economic situation.....hopefully that's not going to be the situation this time around.....unless of course it's part of Trumps psycho master plan
