What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

Here's a video with the clip of him speaking gibberish right after he says Saudi Arabia. Look at his face when he's babbling. David plays it a couple times.

Best thing that can happen is, if he wins, the Dems grab one or both Houses OR at least keep the GOP majority small enough that their internal divisions will keep derailing legislation as we've seen in this latest session.

Well, isn't that f***ing hilarious? He was okay when he was a playboy rapist who hung out with Jeffrey Epstein and his ilk. He was okay when he stole millions of investors' money to pad his own pockets. He was okay when he paid off porn stars not to talk about him, yet bragged about grabbing pussy. He was okay when he talked about how only his parenthood prevented him from going after his own daughter. He was okay when he said he could shoot anyone he wanted and get off. He was okay when he appears to have attempted a coup of the U.S. constitution by overturning a legitimate transfer of power. He was okay when he was indicted on many corruption charges in many states. He was okay to defend Christianity by holding a bible upside down that he has clearly never read.
Most Americans would dismiss much of your litany as a combination of groundless gossip, a woke violation of the presumption of innocence, and a misunderstanding of his sense of humor. And rememHusber, the latest poll puts him 6 points ahead of Biden. So he has apparently made up for the loss of white evangelical support with the new support of disgruntled Democrats!
What exactly was the straw that broke the camel's back?
His recent conviction. But if he beats the other raps, he'll likely win the election.

Well that is the unfortunate thing with the GOP, they are ok with having actual sex criminals in their ranks (Hastert, and a very influential one)...

They have got to clean up their ranks...

I was wondering what it was

I actually have seen that happen a lot

I have seen it happen with news anchors -- they will spontaneously have like a brain circuit snap and not make sense...I haven't tried to figure oot why it happens, just interesting anecdote I have noticed...

Like this famous one

With commentary as to what happened including medical wondering...similar I see to what is being commented aboot Trump maybe?

To be fair, since you or I or Bette or anyone don't know All or even Most USA ians, and since you believe in Objective Truth (God etc), all you can fairly say is some but not all USAians would dismiss some but not all of Bette's litany as you listed...

You should use more I statements, dear, when you are stating an opinion? :3

Remember how powerful confirmation bias is. Nothing woke aboot confirmation bias.

I will agree that there is too much ca ca going on with the legal proceedings against Trump, even before, for it to be fair. I don't know if it is actual evil or just that some people are so terrified of Trump that they are willing to break the rule of law, ethics, etc to "git em"

Trump should realize that, right or wrong, enough USAians are driven mad by him. The stability of his country is far more important than him being POTUS. If he actually cared, had compassion, he would do something better. Step oot od the race or whatever.

He failed to drain the swamp. When those who followed him to the Jan 6 thing and then were prosecuted etc, did he give a f*** for them, ever? Help them oot? No. He dropped them as soon as they weren't convenient.
He didn't build his wall (I was impressed by his balls around that)
The best thing for me aboot him was his crime bill and Operation Warp Speed

I still can appreciate his ability to manipulate. Like Obama, he is masterclass at that.

I don't think I have ever seen a time tho when USA was as fubar'd as now

But that could be a file drawer problem, as I haven't been alive for all of USA's history

They can't be called the GOP anymore. There's nothing grand about that party

We can't view that ABC clip here in Canada

After Haley's withdrawal, Trump renewed his call for debates with "crooked Joe" "anytime, anyplace, anywhere."
And the implied response of Biden's handlers? Tell Trump to watch the State of the Union address that we wrote for Biden."
America sees through Biden's terror in trying to match words live with Trump.

Well wouldn't both their handlers have to supply them both with sippy cups and Depends?

*waggles eyebrows*

As Mr. Trump has challenged the President to take the MoCA, I'd like to see President Biden challenge Mr. Trump to take a physical exam, as the President took recently. Let's see if Mr. Trump still weighs 215 pounds, like he allegedly weighed the last time he had one.

groundless gossip, a woke violation of the presumption of innocence, and a misunderstanding of his sense of humor.

I can see as clear as day a pic of a younger Donald Trump (milder comb-over necessary), right next to Jeffrey Epstein and stupid Prince Andrew and they're just total quintessential pervs. It's totally gross, and one can never un-see it. Visual evidence and convictions of various associates is hardly groundless gossip. The man is a total violation of all morality, and I'm just hilarious over your 'maybe we think he might not be moral' hysteria?

Sense of humour. Nought. About up there with yours, good Berserk.

You must have seen this observation, but just in case, I share:

Someone on Quora asked, “Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote this response…

A few things spring to mind.

Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem.

For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed.

So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever.

I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman.

But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers.

So maybe we all need an American sense of humour. Trump as some sort of slap-stick comic puppet. And yes, that I see. And I bemoan the dumbing down our neighbours to corporate/institutional greed. And a kind of bottom of the barrel "kick them harder when they're down" sensibility. Steinbeck and Jesus weep. And the oranges rot, and the children starve.
