And, yes, mining companies are famous for their concern for the local people. Ever heard of Congo? Ever heard of the slaughter that's been going on there for almost 150 years? We're talking in the millions.

Ever wonder why Latin american countries with mines have profound poverty?

Ever wonder why Latin American countries without mines have profound wealth?

No? Because you make stupid correlations?

Mining companies are not the axis of evil.

The most bizarre thing is Norway nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize of 2019. Far more credit for that peace should go to the two Koreas and China. In fact, we still have no idea what, if anything, was achieved at Singapore.

And - Donald Trump is president of the world's most warlike country. As he was nominated, he was fighting wars in Afghanistan, Syria and was starving millions to death in Yemen. Oh, and threatening a war in Iran.

Oh, Ponitiflex - check out the 1970s murder of a couple of hundred thousand Guatemalans. California must have sent a huge army to kill them.
And you're obviously ignorant of the whole history of Congo.
Nor do you know anything of the Boer War which was fought to give wealthy Brits control of its gold mines.

You live in a world you have invented. Lucky you.

Here's a lesson you won't believe.

Stephen Millies, The Ludlow Massacre and the Birth of Company Unions

It was at Ludlow that Mackenzie King invented the 'company union', a union sponsored by the company to give the appearance of bargaining while, in fact, doing nothing for the workers. I was in a company union as a teenager at Bell Telephone.

He needs constant positive reinforcement and reward when he does something that's even a bit positive. Like a kid. Or he gets tantrum-y. Maybe the Chinese and Singaporean leaders are more mature. They don't expect a prize. If Norway does want to give him the Nobel think it's an act of safe psychology. Because Trump's thought process is pretty unique.

Thanks for the trip down your memory lane. Only one of them though loosely had anything to do with mining and took place when Bonnie and Clyde were 3 and 4 years old.

Things have changed a bit since then. There have been 2 world wars and Donald Trump has saved the world from nuclear Armageddon. For now!

Nothing fragile about his ego. It remains intact.

Lots of people are having success with Trump. And lots are getting steamrollered. Which ones should you emulate?
Lots of folk had success with Herod. The followers of Jesus got steamrollered. Why? Herod fed his ego and Jesus took his to the cross.

Hey, what else did Herod do other than that tiny Jesus blip? There must've been more 2 him than meeting that Palestinian terrorist?

My fav Herod still

World conquest has been the objective since 1945.
Operative strategy was spelled out by Thomas Hobbes.

“Written during the English Civil War (1642–1651), Leviathan argues for a social contract and rule by an absolute sovereign. Hobbes wrote that civil war and the brute situation of a state of nature ("the war of all against all") could only be avoided by strong, undivided government.”
