Steroids are hormones derived from urine ... these may leave someone Pz'd so bad they are temporarily energized ... I speak with experience having dealt with them for about 3 months in diminishing dosages!

Does Trump appear Pz'd at the world? Thus the Freudian Death Wish!

You may be right on this. I have in mind the character of these two persons. Each was/is, from my point of view, a self-serving scoundrel.
 
This story says Trump was gasping for air before his photo op, on the balcony. had just walked off the helicopter, down the steps - with his mask on then he walked down a gauntlet of several cameras snapping. Then he walked up a large winding flight of stairs to the balcony. Almost anyone but an athlete might be slightly winded from that. He took off his mask once he got to his spot. He, subtlety, appeared to me to be taking a few deep breaths, maybe he did a few breathing exercises. It was subtle. He didn't appear to be gasping. He didn't cough once. I don't like that the media is looking for the slightest sign of a problem, then making a mountain out of a molehill. This isn't a story. I don't like Trump, he has some real problems, but this isn't newsworthy.

True. Or maybe that's what he does to get grounded after walking up lots of stairs. He's overweight, out of shape. Lots of people would be more winded and even breathing heavy/ fast. He just took a few slow, subtle, deep breaths.

There is an appropriate place to discuss and argue mod decisions and this thread is not it. Please start a thread in WC2 News & Business as requested in my announcement. I shall leave this one here but do not continue the discussion further in this thread.

Hi...

You may have noticed that very few persons respond to my posts. Not sure why. Suspect some do not like my position regarding the failure of democracy and the rise of corporate tyranny. In this I am encouraged by ancient and modern thinkers. These too were resisted and refused by the governing politicians and the populations conformed to their patterns of control.

For me the Cafe offers opportunity for the practice of language. I simply state my present perspective and have abandoned the struggle of right and wrong. You have probably noticed that I rarely support my thinking by appeal to the thinking of others. Rather I am a seeker of truth, which I do not possess. It beckons me and by faith I follow in its way.

One of my insights makes clear that few in the Cafe, as in the general population, want to know what is now unfolding. Carl Jung speaks of populations repressing their instinctual being. This repression produces what Jung calls “mass neurosis“; a psychological deterioration of human well being producing the ‘madness’ now in play.

It took me many years to grow into my maturity. The basic transition has been from anger to sorrow. How I wish folk would admit where the seductions of power have brought us - to the brink of catastrophe.

Maybe take a break for a bit. It always helps me to step away when conflict emerges and grows.

George, I have always appreciated hearing your point of view - when we were in the same presbetry and then on WC and now on WC2. I don't often post replies any more, due to comunication difficulities, but I always look for your posts' I will miss you ifwhile you stap back and await your return.

Yes, rest and immerse yourself in whatever nourishes you and renews your spirit. Please know I read most of what you post and find it always an inspiration. I believe you to be an exemplar of the teachings of Christ.

George, I appreciated a lot of what you posted. I just did not have any worthwhile comments to add to most of them. I am not as pessimistic as you are as I have been fortunate over the years of knowing many individuals from several countries but mostly from Canada who are working in their sectors to work for justice and real democracy. One friend went into law specifically to work on social justice. One organized community development projects in Bolivia. I knew a couple from Chile while going to seminary. They were working in Masters degrees at Dalhousie and were among the many who fled Chile when Pinochet took control. There were the teachers in Educators for Peace and many others along the way. The billionaires and their lackeys are hard at work behind the scenes manipulating politicians and civil servants but there is a widespread, mostly out of the media view, diverse movement at work, building relationships, gathering and analyzing information, and working on thousands of small projects capable of multiplying. I am not naive about the power and ruthlessness of the billionaires and their lackeys, but their over-confidence could set the stage for a real revolution
 
I think it is relevant to note that Trump seems to be gasping for breath. neck muscles don’t usually come Into play while breathing

the odder issue is when was he infected. If it was Thursday , he should be isolating until next Sunday. Or was he infected before they admitted it by then Who is at risk

the issue for pence is he sat in front of someone who now has Covid 19. Yet is still campaigning and about to debate. But he should also be isolating

these people just dont seem to get how the virus transmits
