Everything is going to change. We are never going back to the way things were. (For the first month or so I though we could but we’re not). Rita’s gift economy might not be a terrible idea to work towards. There’s a chance for a big economic overhaul now like never before, after we pass through this painful period, that could be good - if the people on the lower rungs are part of it - not just the autocrats. We don’t know where this is going but it’s never going back to the way it was. And Trump will surely make it worse if he can.

I think the all countries debts should be erased, credit done away with, billionaires investments cancelled, wealth redistributed, and the economic dial set to zero. Not likely, but it’s nice to think we can have a better system.
Nobody deserves to be filthy rich anymore than the poorest deserve to be poor. It’s a lie we’ve been living under for a long time. If you want to talk about a rigged game, neoliberal capitalism is it. Private business interests competing - and being partisan - are going to prolong the pandemic, too.
