Ah - learn the meaning of the word 'socialist'. It has nothing to do with the characteristics you mention. In fact, socialism is the closest our political systems have ever come to being Christian.
For anyone with a few minutes to spare, I recommend Netflix for a film called "Why We Fight: The Battle of Russia". Made early in World War 2, it is an excellent example of how easy it is to propagandize people. Russians were lovable and were heroes in this films. But as soon as the war ended, they became evil.
