Seeler's complaints

I met a retired dr. today. He was an obstetrician but that became physically too much and so he practiced as a GP/family doctor. He had to give that up., largely due to arthritis. He was out skiing after swimming laps this morning. My guess is that he is trying to lose some "insulation" and make it easier on his joints.

on another note my parents have been coached by their health professionals to call 911 if either falls . They are not to lift each other up. Falls are so much less likely in their apartment then in their house with multiple stairs in poor shape.

Love Too ... is like a fall ... when some strange power extracts your old thoughts ... a devious transaction? There are diffusion lines ...

Bette, your ointment is smooth and silky and feels good going on. I rub some into my neck and back and it feels good. Thank you for including us in your Secret Santa gift. You do have to give me so much – a book ,the beautiful scarf and your homemade salve. Thanks. Much appreciated.

Seeler, rub some of that salve I sent you on Seelerman's shoulder. It has some mild painkilling effects, especially if used regularly. I can certainly provide more.

For those who inquired and or are thinking about us, Seelerman wasn't badly hurt his fall. He does complain of a sore shoulder and a red spot on his back, but he's been out shoveling off the dead and keeping the driveway clear and the car running while telling me that is okay. I say that he should at least mention it to the doctor next time we are in.

As for me, it is much of the same. I'm on a downward incline that is getting steeper as time goes by. The doctors I have a good. I trust them to do their best. And science is always working to find more drugs or treatments that will help. Find the cause, find a cure, find a way to slow down the deterioration. In the meantime something to help with the symptoms. I take a variety of pills, and will soon enter a physiotherapy program developed especially for physiotherapy people intensive and one-on-one. It was scheduled to start tomorrow but has been rescheduled by the hospital for next week.

In the meantime I have decided to just carry on doing is much as I can. A friend at church the other day ask what I had done for New Year's Eve. When I replied that I been square dancing, she looked surprised and said 'You still square dance? Good foro you!

Something that just notice recently: I have started having this vivid dreams and during the day I think of seeing things. For instance, I will see something out of place and reach out for it my hand will encounter emp encounter empty space. The cat that we cared for over the holidays and went home Saturday, in to my room last night and jumped on my dresser – no no that he usually obeys. I could almost swear I heard him purring but I knew better. A new pilll that my doctor started me on last week to treat the pain in my neck has weird side effects. I think these may be some of them, if so I will probably have to decide which is more troublesome – the pain or the dreams. I think I can live with the dreams. Perhaps it would be enjoyable – a movie in my head
Cyclobenzaprine

This is amusing: many pill bottles have been the label 'may cause drowsiness – do not operate machinery'. I just noticed that this advice is on my bottle of sleeping pills.

Wry humour as a twist of rye words into metaphor ... omni visions as distant science!

Glad to hear that Seelerman is fine. . . I know you were worried. I am sorry about your ongoing struggles with Parkinson's disease & I wish there was something more I could say. It has been difficult for all of us to lose Crazyheart but especially so for those who had become RL friends with her.

Thinking of you Seeler.

If you like the salve, let me know when you run out, and I'll provide more.

No, I would not ship it outside of Canada, although I do, periodically, take a container or two, in my checked luggage, to England.

Ah Seeler - your dragon dictation is playing funny tricks ... this made me laugh ... at least I HOPE it's your dictation and not a hallucination!!

but he's been out shoveling off the dead and keeping the driveway clear

I hope you will speak with your GP & neurologist about the hallucinations & dreams very soon. There can be a variety of causes for this - and certainly medication can be implicated.

Yes Carolan, this Dragon sometimes has a mind of its own. This morning I thought it was doing pretty good, I could often type of whole sentences without having to make any corrections, and it was up to speed. But we still need some adjustments.

Dagons are expected to get used to the dictator's vocabulary and pronunciation, and to learn new words. I see some evidence that my Dragon is catching on. It now types words like Nicodemus without problems.
This morning I had trouble trying to get it to understand the word 'dulse'. If it to be popular in the Maritimes is going to have to know about dulse. It gives me 'adultts' . .

It always spells Wunder Café wrong, and it leaves off the two 2.
Perhaps I am too lenient and let her off too many times without correction.

Dead / deck' what is the difference?

And you should see what it does with the names of the people on Wunder Café. Names like crazy heart (not too bad), loose ends, chimney girl, Seeler girl (not bad now that she's learned to spell Seeler - It is neither speaker, seeler, nor 'seek her')

PS – in the time it took me to write this my Dragon has learned the word 'dulse'. There's hope yet.

It does look like you had a LOT of snow out your way Seeler - hoping the sun is shining & the deck shovelling was not too arduous! Dragon will catch up with you eventually - and in the meantime it provides us with some entertainment! LOL

Artificial humour is dulse elle ... some pokes needed so some mystery created sandpipers ... grit flys ...

Over the pond dragonflies ... resembling Hindi spirits with 6 extensions ... could be the Marta Hari ...

I have cyclobenzapriene. I maybe should have used it last night. Christmas celebration was smaller than expected, my brother in law and youngest nephew stayed home because they were quite sick.
I was on the floor quite a bit playing with the duplo train I got the older nephew. Stiffened up lots later that evening.
I never get any fun dreams with it though.

In general, I find I don't get 'loopy' with meds. I tend to be a little more resistant to drowsiness too, although benedryl knocks me out and makes me feel hungover when I wake up and gravol will put me to sleep for a long time.

I have great wonder how some of these drugs (ephrene based particularly) have such wildly differing effects in my family.

Some of the ignorance regarding the use ... causes me great question about some authorities knowledge ... like some of the crap I encountered in plutocratic supervisors that were so limited it was tragically comic ...

Pushed me into mental-emotional instability that I have trouble speaking about because of authorities that tell me what I experienced ... although they weren't even there at the time! Other people's difficulties are just myth ... right?

Seeler….I once took sleeping pills that seemed to prevent me from dreaming. I quit taking them.

I just read this thread today...seems like I had just been flying in and out over that last couple of months, so not really tuned into things. I love your attitude and strength Seeler (which is a selfish thing to say, because it is about what you are giving to others, including me). I sincerely hope that you keep managing with improvisation, humour, technology and good meds. You are included in my prayers.

@Seeler -- You met my Mom when we visited your town and you. You may remember a thread that I posted re her trigeminal neuralgia. he tried various meds and had given up , but, then we said you need to tell the doctor. The one med she had tried made her "wonky" . After dialogues with the doctor that med was taken at night before bed, and the other taken in the morning. Made a huge difference.

I hope that you can find some such solution.
